Cheerapunji is also home to some of the most spectacular living root bridges.  Interestingly these are roots hand-made by the local ethnic groups that live in and around the area. 7. Pamban Island

8. Ravangla

Perched at a height of 7000 ft this town is situated on the southern part of Sikkim. The town is well connected by state highway to the capital city and to other districts in the state. 9. Chikmangalur
