Visiting Mickey’s kingdom is definitely fun and exciting, most especially for kids. The thrilling and kid-friendly rides, towering castles, shops, Mickey-themed snacks and food, make the experience truly memorable.
Despite the glitter and fun escapade, a Disney vacation can be expensive, especially if you bring kids. The theme park tickets alone cost roughly $109 for a single day. Even if you book through Disney travel agents, the price of accommodations and tickets are pretty high.
Get to know some tips to save money on your Disney vacation. Earning big discounts isn’t easy and most of the time it requires some stacking and digging. Read on to learn about 3 important things to help you cut the cost and stretch your budget.
Disney Travel Planners
Massive changes in the travel industry led to improved customer service, just like with Disney World or Disneyland. The company now offers travel planners to make it easier to book and navigate through Disney World vacations.
With a lot of resorts to choose from, accommodation types, and several packages, finding the best package may be an issue. With the help of Disney travel planners, you can save a lot of time when looking for tickets, booking accommodations, and more.
While the service is helpful, the agents don’t entirely provide the best money-saving options for customers.
Buy Tickets From Third-Party Sites
Buying tickets directly at Disney’s website isn’t recommended, because they aren’t always on sale. The prices only go down on the lean season, and the price difference isn’t that huge. To save money, you can explore the Internet and find third-party websites that sell discounted tickets.
For instance, websites like Get Away Today and Undercover Tourist offer discounted Disney tickets. Make sure not to sleep on these websites because they offer really cheap tickets. The only downside is, they disappear quickly as many people are looking for discounted passes.
Undercover Tourist even lets web users save $20 per pass, on certain peak days. This is a good deal and isn’t available on Disney’s website for peak season.
Rent Disney Vacation Club Points
If your family wishes to stay at the Deluxe resort at a moderate price, the best option is renting Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points. This is Disney’s version of a timeshare, which is totally cool.
There are two paths to get savings when renting DVC. First, you need to find a DVC owner and rent directly from them. Another option is choosing a service like David’s Disney Vacation Club Rental to rent points at a fixed price.
Price per point varies per owner, but the average rental price is $19 to $21 per point.
Use Discount Codes
Disney travel agents won’t tell customers about discount codes, especially during peak season. Take note that some websites, like Mousesaver.com offer discount codes to book rooms at a lower price. This is a helpful tip to beat the published price of the hotel rooms.
You can also find discount codes for theme park tickets, although the discount is only minimal like 5 percent off. However, this is better than getting nothing at all. Check out websites, like Magic Guides, Groupon, Coupon Cabin, Travel Mamas, Slick Deals, and Retail Me Not.
Conclusion
Planning a Disney vacation doesn’t need to bleed you dry, as there are money-saving tips that can help. From booking from third-party websites to using discount codes, and renting DVC points, you can absolutely cut a fraction of the ticket cost and accommodation.
Consider all of these options in the future if you are thinking about taking a trip Disney World or Disneyland anytime soon.
Summertime has come again in the Philippines and one of the most sought after areas for Filipinos during summer is Batangas. This province is an ideal location when you are in the lookout for beach properties and resorts as it lies in the coastal area of Luzon and most of all, it’s only around two hours drive from Manila, the busiest capital of the country. In the town of Calatagan, we found one of the best summer getaway place and beachfront resort, the Aquaria Water Park.
Aquaria Water Park in Calatagan
Aquaria Water Park boasts more than a half-kilometer of a beach area with an amazing structure of water park showcasing pools for all ages, kids, and adults. The water park also highlights a 3-story waterslide and cove pool looking like a beach in itself.
We had the privilege to stay for two (2) nights in the lovely Crusoe Cabins, Aquaria’s official partner for accommodation, good for couples, families, and groups. You could either indulge yourself in the beachfront accommodation or garden accommodation.
I highly suggest booking the beachfront accommodation as it is directly pointing to sunset in the afternoon on a good day. Imagine you are in the cabin, sipping your cocktail drink and relaxing at the porch while the sun is slowly going down the horizon. What a good life!
Aquaria Water Park is not just a simple beach resort as you can see. It has its own pool and cove pool plus a 3-story waterslide perfect for the adventurous you. There also a huge selection of water pools for the kids and kids-at-heart.
Ride the water slide!
When you get inside the waterpark, you’ll immediately notice the high-rise structure at the middle of the resort, it’s a water slide! In order to be accommodated, you must be with somebody, a partner, a friend, or a stranger as they don’t permit riding if you’re only bringing yourself.
It’s a decent water slide that is really exciting as you go down along the pool that after that first slide, you’d be wanting for more. This water slide is available for everyone who is around 4 feet tall and knows how to swim.
2. Swim around in the pools
The waterpark boasts many swimming pools that are suitable for many guests. There will be a time where you can solo a spot and there’s also some time where you can get to be joined by many people. The swimming pools are perfect for all ages. Don’t forget to wear sunblock or sunscreen when you bask in the sun! For long-lasting sun protection, I highly recommend using Dermplus SPF 130 sunscreen.
3. Eat at the restaurant
If you have been tired from swimming all day long, make some time for yourself to eat and replenish lost energies from swimming with your buddies. You can order basically anything that’s in the menu. For an extra hot day, I recommend you drink the fresh fruit juices or a fruit shake as a greater option to reduce heat.
4. Rent a Kayak
Aquaria Water Park is not only a swimming type of water park but with lots of adventures as well. You can rent out a kayak (double seater) for PHP 400.00 ($4 USD) an hour. Go and kayak around the nearby sandbars or nearby resorts and check their beauty.
5. Rent a Pedal Boat
If you are seeking more adventures with friends, then the Pedal Boat is perfect for you. You can rent out a Pedal Boat for PHP 1,000.00 ($20 USD) good for 6 people with 1 hour of use.
6. Be thrilled by the Banana Boat ride
One of the best activities out there is the Banana Boat ride. You can avail of this adventure for PHP 2,000.00 ($40 USD) good for 8 pax, for 15 mins of a thrilling ride.
7. Ride the Jetski
If you’re feeling a little extravagant and even more adrenaline rush, you can surely rent the jetski for PHP 4,500.00 good for 1 hour of use. Go far, take an adventure yourself, but come back and make sure that the jetski is not damaged as the charges are higher than your rent.
8. Play Volleyball or Soccer with your friends
Sports and adventure always come close so there’s a field for beach volleyball and a grass field for your soccer needs. For only PHP 50.00 an hour, enjoy good sports with your friends or team!
9. Watch the sunset
One of the best things to do while in Aquaria Water Park is the no cost at all (free) activity, sunset viewing. The best things in life are free, including watching the lovely sunset by the beach.
10. Bonfire at night
If you are done with the activities and simply wants to chill by the beach, it’s best complimented with a bonfire during the night. Aquari Water Park has its own spot for the activity and best experienced with friends. You can bring your drinks along while you watch the bonfire and feel its heat on a cold summer night.
11. Simply relax at your cabin
You can opt for the Garden view or the Beachfront cabin when you are in Aquaria Water Park. If it’s too hot outside especially on a mid-day, just go back to your cabin and watch television from there. If you don’t want to go out during the sunset, feel free to watch it while on your bed.
The cabin accommodation comes with its own kitchen and sink and toilet and bath with hot and cold shower. It’s like staying in a hotel, but it’s a cabin.
12. Just have fun
The best thing to do in Aquaria Water Park is to just have fun. People go here for enjoyment, while some people seek beaches for recreation and silence. No matter kind of hardships you are going through with your life, just enjoy and always smile and laugh as it changes everything to positive! Learn to have fun even when you are alone and learn to have more fun when with friends!

Crusoe Cabins (Accommodation)
Garden view Cabin
Crusoe Cabins is the partner of Aquaria Water Park for accommodations. These cabins are of high-quality and are designed to function as a complete accommodation without having the look of a typical room or hotel.
These cabins are also elegant-looking that’s why honeymooners are also hooked up to these accommodations in Aquaria Water Park especially the beachfront ones. It’s also surprisingly spacious on the inside, it’s like the tiny houses we see on TV.
The cabins are also fully air-conditioned and come with a mini bar, kitchen, toilet, and bath with hot and cold shower. The rooms can accommodate up to four (4) people.
You can book directly via their website but it’s more affordable when you book thru Agoda.
From Manila, catch a bus going to Lian or Calatagan, Batangas, tell the driver to drop you off at the market.
From the market, hire a tricycle going to Aquaria Water Park.
Alternative:
From Manila, catch a bus heading to Batangas Grand Terminal.
From Batangas Grand Terminal, get on a bus heading to Calatagan. Tell them to drop you off at the market.
From the market, hire a tricycle going to Aquaria Water Park.

SIDETRIP FROM AQUARIA WATER PARK
As a side trip or part of your adventure while in Aquaria Water Park, you can rent a boat to the nearest white sandbar in Calatagan.
Puting Buhangin Sandbar
The Puting Buhangin Sandbar is located a few meters away from the infamous Burot Beach but takes about 20 mins from Aquaria Water Park to get there via boat. While in the water park, you can rent a boat.
I’m not quite sure of the rates but I’m thinking it’s around PHP 1,000.00 to PHP 1,500.00.
You must not miss seeing this beautiful white sand bar in the area. You can spend a few hours or minutes in here depending on your capability to endure the heat of the sun.
Museo de Enrique Zobel
After your adventure in Aquaria, you can drop by one of the places to visit in Calatagam, the EZ Museum or Enrique Zobel Museum.
If you want to learn a bit about Calatagan’s history, you’ll definitely find that information here. Aside from that, you can get a piece of the life of one of the famous person in the country, Enrique Zobel and about his family.
Thailand has always been a haven for couples taking a break from work and stress in the city. A one-stop country for all your partner’s wanderlust needs, from beaches to islands, from culture and history, from people and places, from temples and buildings. Not only because Thailand is one of the cheapest countries you can spend your honeymoon getaway too, but also because this country could have the best of both worlds.
In this regard, we’ve asked fellow travel bloggers about their most favorite and recommended getaway resorts when it comes to vacationing in Thailand as a couple. If you’re going to spend long holidays in Thailand, then you must experience at least 1 or 2 luxury resorts to make the of your vacation. Here are their expert advice and testimonials on that matter.
Chivapuri Beach Resort is located in Bang Bao Beach, on the southern shores of Koh Chang. This is the second biggest island in Thailand, and as such it gets a high volume of tourists, yet Bang Bao Beach has a different feel. As it is far from all the main ports on the island, and a bit more difficult to reach, fewer people actually go there. The location is ideal for those who need peace and quiet, such as couples on a honeymoon. The beach is well kept. There are several small local restaurants on the beach, which can all be reached on an easy walk and all serving really good local food for more than reasonable price.
From the small port of Bang Bao (right by the market) boats leave every day for several nearby islands, such as Koh Wai, which can be visited on an easy day trip, or Koh Muk. luxury resorts in Thailand
The resort is simply splendid. A series of beautiful villas, all facing the beach and set around a gorgeous, lush and perfectly kept garden. Rooms are large, cozy and comfortable. There is a nice infinity pool right between the park and the beach. The main hall is all open, and it is a great place to hang out. There are DVDs and books available for guests. The breakfast buffet is incredible, with a superb choice of hot and cold food. Staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. It simply is a wonderful place to be.
What strikes you the most when it comes to the Koh Yao Yai Village Resort is its location. You will find it on the quiet island of Koh Yao Yai, squeezed between the hectic Phuket and Krabi. It is impressive to discover such an oasis so close to Thailand’s most crowded places. But it’s there and going there will be worth it.
Although you can easily spend the entire day at the Koh Yao Yai premises, relaxing at the spa or just enjoying the pool, you will have plenty of other activities to choose from. They have fantastic day trips, including village tours, kayaking and island hopping. We did a one day island exploring with them the incredible Phang-Nga Bay, home of the James Bond Island. The trip was terrific, we really felt pampered, and they took really good care of us. luxury resorts in Thailand
The Koh Yao Yai Village is a must-try experience because you will get the quiet vibes of the island and relax by choosing from their appealing activities.
Our favorite luxury accommodation in Thailand can be found on the island of Koh Lanta. Koh Lanta tends to be one of the more “quieter” islands, making it a great place for couples on a getaway or honeymoon. If you go during low season, you might even feel like you’re one of a handful of people staying on the island.
The resort we recommend here is the Crown Lanta Spa Resort. Located on its own little corner of the island with its very own private beach, making it an ideal paradise vacation spot.
They even offer rooms that give you direct access to the pool, meaning you go out the back door and just jump right in! luxury resorts in Thailand
The poolside restaurant offers some delicious entrees, but for the ultimate island experience, we recommend heading to their Reggae Bar. This is where you can enjoy dinner and drinks to the soft sound of the waves clapping against the beach, almost as if to applaud the dazzling sunset as it paints the most colorful skies!
If you’re up for some adventure, taking a snorkeling tour to the secluded island of Koh Rok would be an excellent experience.
I don’t think we have ever stayed in a more honeymoon like a hotel than the gorgeous villa we enjoyed for 2 nights in Phuket. Part of The Pavilions complex, this adults-only property enjoys all the intimacy you can expect from the luxurious villa with its own private infinity pool, spa area, pool cabana and more. All without forgetting great views of the hills in front of the property. The Pavilions is a fairytale hotel, made for couple’s relaxation and wellness. A paradise within a paradise, as it is in the super touristy island of Phuket, but far from the touristy paths. luxury resorts in Thailand
On the other hand, the exceptional service will most likely exceed all your expectations. I know it exceeded ours!
We were in such awe that we barely left the property in 48 hours! If you are curious about how this gorgeous property look, check outThe Pavilions Phuket review.
Though when I stayed at the Sala Phuket Resort & Spa in Mai Khao Beach I was solo, it is the perfect place for a honeymoon. The property has an edgy feel for Japanese mod. Landscaping features grey bricks separated by the grass of different heights to form a walkway that guests find themselves following subconsciously. luxury resorts in Thailand
My guest room had high ceilings and two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. I selected my choice of pillow and amenity fragrance at check-in (which was handled in the room). At turndown, fragrant incense and candles are lighted. Could it get more romantic? Yes! Of the 79 rooms and villas here, 63 have a private swimming pool. And my room had an outdoor bathroom and lounge area that was particularly nice in the morning. All this plus a pristine beach that doubles as a turtle hatchery, and a water-view restaurant that inexplicably plays Christmas tunes in spring. Check Rates | Book Now!Check Rates | Book Now!
Step back in time a century or so to experience old world Asian luxury. 137 Pillars House is tucked on a side street outside of the old city of Chiang Mai in the north. They have rescued a large teak-wood home from the Borneo Trading Co. and transformed the complex into a sprawling oasis, perfect for couples who want to get off the grid.

Panviman Chiang Mai Spa Resort is about 45 minutes from the city of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Situated within beautiful hills and surrounded by lush tropical forests, this is more than just a luxury hotel, it is a spa mecca. This resort allows you to separate yourself from the real world and truly reset your body and mind.
The rooms are elegant, to say the least. Various rooms with unique amenities such as a private balcony with wonderful views, a private Jacuzzi, steam room or pool. They even have a golf cart that will drive you to and from the main lobby and restaurant.
The resort grounds are filled with various activities at your disposal including a 2 story pool with waterfall, a meditation trail and cave, full-service spa, gym and obstacle trail, archery, boxing area, table games and even a mini-golf course. The on-site fine dining restaurant offers a delicious menu plus spectacular views from their multiple terraces. They offer cooking lessons as well for those looking to learn the art of Thai cooking. luxury resorts in Thailand
If you are looking to get away from it all at a luxurious resort with everything you need to replenish yourself. Panviman Resort may be just what you need.
Sri Panwa is one of the hippest and cool of the luxury resorts in Phuket and one where you can enjoy some of the most romantic villas in the country. luxury resorts in Thailand
The resort is located on Cape Panwa with amazing sunset and sunrise views and has one of the most amazing rooftop bars in the world as rated by CNN travel. The villas, with their own infinity pools, are absolutely breathtaking and one of the most romantic places to wake up. Aside from infinity pools wrapping around the bed, there are two jacuzzis, a double one inside and an outdoor pool.
If you’re looking for 5* luxury away from the tourist hordes of Phuket, look no further than the sleepy resort town of Khao Lak, Thailand. The region was devastated by the 2004 tsunami but has since recovered into a strip of some of the finest and most relaxing resorts along the Andaman Sea.
What sets the J.W. Marriott apart, other than the gold standard of service, is by far the three km pool that winds through the entire resort, complete with two swim-up bars. Dive right into the relaxing wading pool straight from your bottom floor room and make your way from bar to bar. Or, set up at one of the lounge chairs set up along the beach for a dip in the ocean. luxury resorts in Thailand
Get antsy lounging on the beach too long? Take advantage of the location and make a day trip to James Bond Island, snorkeling around the Similan Islands, or explore Khao Sok National Park.
Settle back to the hotel in the evening and visit the little “downtown” strip of Khao Lak for the night market and one of the best American cover bands around at the local watering hole.

Coron has always been a part of every traveler’s bucket list. Not only because of the wonders it offers but also because of the people. Coron is only a small pack of islands and yet its beauty is beyond compare to many places in the world. It has its own uniqueness, own identity, and that makes it special.
It’s been a home to many marine mammals and species and is rich in marine biodiversity. Its islands are captivating and selfless, a charm beyond compare.
During our visit, we were totally enticed by its landscape, the hotel accommodations and especially, the Coron Villas. With sands so white under the burning heat of the sun, you won’t even notice your skin color is turning from brown to a darker color. It’s one of the trips we won’t forget and we’re sharing with you what we’ve done and where we went around this beautiful town in Palawan, Philippines.
NOTE: I highly recommend you to check the links in the post for the reviews.
√ Sunblock / Sunscreen (preferably SPF50 or above)
When you get there during summer and the sun is high and mighty, you would want to protect your skin from harmful rays and further damage. It also lessens your skin from getting sunburned.
√ Rash Guard / Rash Vest
Aside from using a sunblock, one best protection is to use a rash guard. It definitely helps in total protection of your skin under the sun. You can take these off when you feel like you want to show off your body and don’t care even if it gets sunburned.
√ Umbrella
Only bring this if you’re going for long walks under the sun, plus it’s not bad to get ready when the rain comes, right?
√ Dry Bag
Bring at least 10 liters dry bag to fit your belongings in. Keep it tightly sealed to avoid water coming in.
√ Sunglasses / OOTDs
If you’re traveling also for your Instagram shots, you have to bring these. Sunglasses to protect your eyes from sun’s radiation, OOTDs to make you look and feel good during your photoshoots.
Of course, you do not forget to bring other stuff like lotion, shampoo, your favorite bar soap, other clothes, protection, and a few more that we know you already knew.
Where to Stay in Coron
For couples like us who would love to spend the nights privately and also loves the comfort and a little bit of luxury at a good price, we highly recommend staying at Coron Soleil Garden Resort. We also stayed at their 3* hotel, Coron Soleil Express Hotel, which is also inside the compound. This isn’t exactly the cheapest in Coron but if you’re looking for a budget hotel with pool facilities and magnificent views, this is the place you should book. At a lower price, you can also use the amenities of the resort. Click here for our review. Check Rates | Book Now!Check Rates | Book Now! Coron Soleil Garden Resort at Night

Flights to Coron
Cebu Pacific, Skyjet, AirAsia, and other airlines cater flights from Manila and other points of the Philippines to Busuanga (Coron). 2GO Travel also has an option for sea-bound travel from Batangas/Manila to Coron. If you have plenty of time to spend, this one’s for you (sometimes it’s cheaper too).
Tours in Coron
Since we only have a few days to spend, we only get the tours we think are the best and would occupy most of our Day 2 and 3 stay in Coron. We availed of the Coron Ultimate Island Tour and Coron Town Tour from Coron Blue Lagoon Adventure Travel and Tours. Their service is superb. Highly recommended. From the communication to the trips, the guides, and the foods we had, everything was perfect and awesome. Click the links for our reviews.

To see some of the most stunning wonders of the world, many travelers assume they need to book a flight and travel halfway across the world. You may not realize it, but some of the greatest natural beauties might just be a short drive away. If you’re fortunate enough to live near any of America’s national parks, make an effort to hop in the car and drive whatever the distance may be to take in the fresh mountain air and picturesque views.
[hoops name=”InArticle”] Depending on where you live in the States, you might have easy access to a number of the country’s national parks. If this is the case, pack your bags, fill up your gas tank, and hit the road – you won’t be disappointed! If you don’t have your own vehicle, consider renting a car but be sure to look into insurance for rental cars before you head out. national park road trips

Acadia National Park in Maine
If you live in the northeastern region of the United States, the road trip that is best for you is Maine’s Acadia National Park. The best place to start is Park Loop Road, where you’ll be able to take a scenic 27-mile long drive along the coast of the Atlantic. Another must-see spot here is Champion Mountain Overlook, where you can get out of your car and take in the 360 degree panoramic views. If you continue on Park Loop Road, you’ll run into other Acadia attractions like Hull’s Cove and Otter Cliff. After this you’ll come to the parks main tourist draw, Cadillac Mountain, the tallest mountain on the north Atlantic coast. Be sure you packed your hiking boots for this trip; there are tons of winding hiking paths and trails for both beginner and novice hikers. national park road trips
There is a handful of stunning national parks out west, but one of the best by far is Yosemite in California. It is a quick drive from San Francisco – just 165 miles west – so if you live in the area there is no excuse to miss out on this national park. If you’re visiting San Fran or the surrounding area, rent a car at the San Francisco International Airport to make the easy trip. You’ll be able to choose from a number of activities here, including hiking, fishing, rock climbing, biking, and horseback riding. national park road trips Yosemite is known for its towering mountain peaks and wildflower fields, as well as sites like the Sierra Nevada high country and Half Dome. If you’re looking for a quick trip, drive through the park and be on your way. But if you’re more interested in exploring the park more thoroughly, you have plenty of options when it comes to lodging. Choose amongst a variety of campgrounds, private cabin rentals, bed and breakfasts, or hotels. national park road trips
Another western wonder when it comes to American national parks, Zion National Park is one of Utah’s most visited attractions. When you come to Zion, be prepared to spend more time here than expected; many travelers plan on doing it in one day, but find it hard to accomplish everything in just 24 hours. If camping is in your itinerary, set up a site at Watchman Campground – this is the best place to experience the sunset each evening. Zion is known for its dramatic canyon walls and impressive gorges, while Bryce is something entirely different. national park road trips
[hoops name=”InArticle”] Bryce Canyon is most well-known for its reddish hues and sweeping plateaus. Check out the sunset from Bryce Point followed by a night at North Campground. The best place for sunrise is none other than Sunrise Point. Although it can get somewhat crowded during peak season, there are plenty of private ledges to experience the sun coming up without feeling overwhelmed by other tourists. Explore the heart of Bryce at Navajo and Queen’s Garden Loop. When you head out, be sure to drive along Rainbow Point and stop at some of the overlooks for tons of photo ops. national park road trips
Driving through Montana’s Glacier National Park is as breathtaking as it gets. No matter what your outdoor activity of choice is, you’ll have complete access to it here, especially if you’re hoping to do some wildlife viewing. Chances are you’ll see bighorn sheep and mountain goats, especially if you venture into the park on foot. So put on your hiking boots and explore the many paths and trails throughout Glacier. If you get hungry along the way, stop at one of the many picnic spots along the way.
The best route for road trippers is along Going-to-the-Sun Road, which stretches about fifty miles through the park. Along this road you’ll see everything from dense forests to snowy mountain peaks to cascading waterfalls. There are plenty of places to pull over during your drive, so be sure to stop at one of the many overlooks to take some stunning photos. national park road trips
The sheer massiveness of Alaska’s Denali National Park and Preserve is enough to impress anyone. The 6 million acre park offers just about everything, from soaring mountain peaks to laid-back hiking paths. If you’re hoping to immerse yourself with wilderness in its purest form, Denali is the national park for you. You can road trip through some of this area yourself – the Denali Park Road stretches nearly 100 miles long through the park, but private vehicles are only permitted to drive the first fifteen miles. Chances are you’ll see some wildlife during this trip, but if you sign up for a bus tour you’ll be able to explore further into Denali (and most likely see even more wildlife along the way). Just about every imaginable outdoor activity is offered in Denali, including hiking, camping, wildlife exploration, biking, birdwatching, mountain climbing, and you can even view the area from the air with your own private helicopter tour. If you’re feeling especially adventurous, check out the Denali sled dogs. If you do choose to drive the first fifteen miles into the park, be sure to explore Savage River, but keep in mind you need to obtain a permit to backpack and camp here.
There is one ferry terminal from nearby Changi airport to Indonesia from Singapore, the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal caters ferry services to Bintan and Batam, Indonesia.
You need to book tickets first in person at the ferry terminal’s ticket counter or book online via https://reservations.brf.com.sg/. You can book a ticket for as low as 2 SGD (base fare promo tickets) if you happen to get one from the website, so book as early as possible to avail of this promo as it is only limited.
A day tour (return ticket – SG-IND-SG) is also available. Singapore to Bintan, Indonesia is only 45-60 mins boat travel and it wouldn’t cost you so much time. On our trip, we had day tour tickets departed from Singapore at 9:10 am and arrived at Indonesia at 10:10 am (GMT + 8).
The process was fairly easy and always keep your passport handy.
Checking In and Immigration
Once you have arrived at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, you’ll have to proceed at the check in counter and they will scan your e-tickets. Provide your passport – this is required, and you will be given your boarding pass. Singapore to Indonesia
Upon receiving your boarding pass, proceed to the immigration counter. Present your passport again with your Singapore departure card. Some officers will be asking questions as to until when are you gonna be staying in Indonesia, what resort you’ll head to once you get there, how many days will you be in the country, or are you only going to stay in Bintan. Let them know what they need to know. On our experience, we’re only a day tour tourist so there weren’t many questions.
After getting your exit stamp, proceed to the designated gate. You need to scan your boarding pass and proceed to the ferry boat.
The ship could accommodate more than a hundred passengers plus there are crews all the time and you won’t have to worry about safety. The seats are even larger and comfortable than what an airline bus provides. I can say that the sail was smooth as I was able to sleep the whole time and just woke up when the ship docked at the Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal.
From the Bintan Terminal, proceed to the immigration counter. Same thing, queue in, present your passport, answer their questions, wait for the stamp, scan your bags, and that’s it! You are now in Indonesia!
At the Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal, you may proceed to book with many resort counters scattered everywhere. Taxi drivers will also ask you to ride with them and all, it’s up to you when you’re there. Bintan map can be collected from the ticket counter. Singapore to Indonesia
You may check and book your Bintanresorts and accommodations here (click me).
On our trip, we didn’t know where to go first as we really have no idea. Taxi drivers won’t tell us where to go best without offering their service, so I went to ask the ticket counter officers and they provided the information I need.
Treasure Bay is the nearest spot from the terminal (700m away) and you can just walk to the place for 10 to 15 minutes. Treasure Bay is where you’ll find Asia’s first largest manmade saltwater pool and The Canopi – a glamping kind of accommodation.
A free shuttle is also available with specific hours of pick-up and drop-off location. You literally could spend nothing here if you know how to get by and if you have your own food.
After a few hours in Treasure Bay, we headed next to Lagoi Plaza. Lagoi Plaza offers a mall-type ambiance and scenery and is next to the Lagoi Bay or Lagoi Beach. You may swim in here as much as you like, it’s definitely FREE. It is a white-sand beach but the shore looks brown – and it’s quite like a mossy green in color behind shoreline.
Since we’re only on a day tour in Indonesia, by evening, we had to head back to Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal for our ferry ride by 8 pm. Singapore to Indonesia
Immigration and ticket counters are on break from 6 pm to 7 pm so we had to wait for a little while. While waiting, you may fill-up your departure card as it is required before getting into the ferry.
You should proceed to the ticket counter, present your passport, and they’ll provide you your boarding pass. Scan your bags and head next to the immigration counter to get your exit stamp from Indonesia.
After getting stamped, proceed to the boarding gate and enter the ferry. The travel time from Indonesia to Singapore is the same – 60 minutes or might be longer depending on the water current and weather.
Once the ship docked at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, proceed to the immigration counter, present your passport, get your entry stamp and don’t forget your departure card from Indonesia.
Arriving in the evening at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, there would be no public transportation. From our trip, we opted for a taxi to the nearest MRT station, Tanah Merah.

1. Discover Scuba Diving
One of the best things you could ever do on an island is to see the great underwater views of the water world. If you have an extra little budget, you can definitely get to see what is beneath the blue waters of Boracay Island. It is an hour of dive and you do not need to know how to swim very well as you will be taught how to do the very basic skills when scuba diving. Also, you will be assisted by certified and professional scuba divers to get you to the spots where you will find the most interesting water friends (like Nemo, a clownfish). This activity is definitely better than just Helmet Diving. activities in Boracay

2. ATV Adventure Ride
Boracay is an island with great views and a huge land area. Hence, ATV (all-terrain vehicle) is also available for you to try. Here, you will be able to drive your own vehicle to get to the places in the itinerary. A track will be available as well plus you have your own guide so you won’t get lost.
Our ATV ride was truly awesome. We drove all the way from the first spot to Mt. Luho’s Ocean Tower and saw a 360° view the two sides of Boracay Island, the main beach and the back beach (Bulabog Beach). Take awesome pictures at Dreamland / Trick Art Museum. Lastly, after the ATV driving is a relaxing dip to Puka Shell Beach. activities in Boracay

3. Island Hopping Tour
Of course, you are in an archipelago with many nearby islands and Boracay is not an exception. There are nearby islands that you need to see and so Island Hopping Tour is one of the great choices for you. We were provided with an Island Hopping Tour (Group Tour for 4 hours) with lunch.
With this tour, you’ll go snorkeling and see fishes’ sanctuary on your own. Get a chance to see other islands and get to experience them. After snorkeling, the next destination is the Puka Beach. Spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour marveling at the beauty of Puka Beach. Lunch will be served at a different place however, that is near Magic Island or Crystal Cove. activities in Boracay
After lunch, you’ll be headed to either Crystal Cove or Magic Island. On our experience, due to the rain showers we experienced, we only were able to get into Magic Island. Magic Island is a small private island that’s best for adrenaline rush seekers and daredevil travelers. It boasts a great cliff diving spot ranging from 3 meters to 10 meters high. As much as I want to jump at the 10 meters lever, I can’t. I sensed a small pain in my back after jumping at 7 meters height and I don’t want any further injuries.

4. Helmet Diving
Helmet Diving is one of the popular activities in Boracay. Not only you can see the underwater world up close, it is also cheap. In this activity, you will be wearing a helmet similar to an astronaut except that you will not be going to space but underwater. You will also be given a piece of food for the fishes so you can see them up close and personal. Don’t try to catch them because you’ll absolutely fail. This activity lasts for at least 15 to 20 minutes. activities in Boracay

5. Banana Boat
Banana Boat is a pretty popular activity to do on the island of Boracay. Almost every agency and tours company in Boracay has this. 🙂 This boat means a lot of fun and excitement! Your Banana Boat will be driven at fast speeds by a speedboat, you try to hold on and try not to fall from the boat.
For schedule and booking for this activity, please click on this link.
6. Flyfish
Flyfish is similar to Banana boat except that when the speedboat goes fast, you’ll go flying up in the air which entails more thrill and excitement than the banana boat. Try not to fall and try to hold on as the impact of getting fallen could be a little dangerous, thank God for the life vest.
For schedule and booking for this activity, please click on this link.
7. Parasailing
When you go to Boracay, you’ll see plenty of parachutes flying in the air. That’s because these people have availed of Parasailing, another popular activity on Boracay Island. Parasailing gives you an aerial view of the coast of Boracay and gets to enjoy the scenery it offers when you’re already up in the air. It’s an exciting yet fun activity to do with your friends and or your loved ones. activities in Boracay
