Things to Do on Your Great Surf and Turf Adventure

We’re all going to need a vacation when the craziness and uncertainty brought on by this pandemic passes. And you don’t have to wait for that time to come before you can plan out your next vacation.
Experts say that even the very act of planning your future outing can do wonders in easing your anxiety and calming your soul.
So while you can browse through the Internet for places to visit the next time you travel, we propose something a bit more nuanced; something you can enjoy while helping out your country’s domestic tourism. Why not embark on “The Great Surf and Turf Adventure?”

The “Surf” Portion

If you plan your adventure right, the “surf” portion would be just as majestic as your road trip.

Rent a Boat and Go Deep-Sea Fishing

Why lounge around by the shore when you can easily rent a boat and venture out into the ocean? Take it one step further and book a spot on a deep-sea fishing charter. After a long road trip, just sitting out in the middle of the ocean and trying to catch a fish sounds like a welcome respite. Most of these charters are also catch-and-release anglers so you needn’t worry about taking home any fishes that you catch.

Try Deep-Sea Diving

summer-cruise-scuba-diving-on-a-budget-in-batangas
Your adventure on the water would not be complete if you don’t spend time with ocean creatures in their natural habitat. Anybody who’s ever gone deep-sea diving will tell you that there’s nothing quite like the thrill of being underwater and surrounded by beautiful scenery you don’t see every day. If that doesn’t convince you, scuba diving has health benefits as well. It’s said to do wonders for your breathing, circulation and strength.

The “Turf” Portion

There are several ways you can choose to do your road trip, but these are the most ideal:

Rent a Camper

You can call it whatever you want, a camper, an RV or a mobile home, but this is probably the most comfortable way to travel great distances since you get practically the same amenities as you would at home. It’s also rather versatile. You can choose to rent a towable camper that you can easily attach to your car or truck, or you can spring for a full-sized motor home complete with a bedroom, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen.

Take Your Motorbike and Go Glamping

If you’re not keen on traveling in a motor home, you can take your motorbike and go glamping instead. Why glamping and not camping? The latter would mean you’d still have to lug around heavy equipment, such as tents, cooking utensils and sleeping bags. Not ideal if you’re planning on bringing your motorbike. Glamping sites allow you to enjoy the great outdoors but with all the amenities of a hotel.
If there’s one thing that the global health crisis has taught us, it’s that life is precious. Think of all the things you had wanted to do pre-pandemic. Travelling was surely on that list. Going on a surf-and-turf adventure is just one way you can let go of all the anxiety you felt when the world was in lockdown.

5 Ways You Can Live a Healthy Lifestyle by Growing Your Own Garden

Still stuck at home due to quarantine? Believe it or not, staying at home doesn’t mean you have to live your life completely online. In fact, there comes a ton of activities you can do right at the comfort of your residence without turning to the virtual world. One among these include growing your garden.

Sure, while laying on the couch and spending the day on social media is a bliss, turning to gardening can help you improve your physical and emotional wellbeing, which are both crucial in this time of pandemic. In fact, there now comes a ton of health benefits associated with this practice.

Below, we have rounded up the top 5 ways how growing your own garden can lead you to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Whether you simply want to do something productive amid the pandemic or embrace a healthier life, expect that this habit will drive you more benefits than you could imagine. Read on.

The Health Benefits of Gardening

  • Fresh Veggies and Fruits

Perhaps, this is the most obvious perk one could get from growing his own garden. As you might have already heard, there’s a big difference between the fruit you’ve bought on the supermarket and the one you’ve picked on your garden. Generally, not only is the latter fresher, but its vitamin content is also higher. As a result, not only will you be able to enjoy tastier fruits and veggies, but you’ll also get to access healthier foods that lack harmful chemicals.

On top of its health benefit, having your own source of fresh fruits and vegetables also serve as a wise financial investment. Not only will this provide you with instant access to food, but it can also provide the opportunity to set up your own business in case your garden grew abundantly.

  • Outdoor Exercise

Let’s face it: gardening comes as an arduous activity. From weeding, raking, lifting, to more, there comes a ton of physical activities involved in keeping the task going. With this, it’s not surprising that growing a garden is also considered to be a good form of outdoor exercise.

To date, especially with the world still under lockdown due to COVID-19 crisis, keeping your body active is necessary to improve endurance, enhance cardiovascular health, and boost immunity. On top of that, since gardening is done under the sun, it can also serve as a great way to boost your vitamin D levels, which benefits your bones and immune system

  • Mood-boosting Effect

With most of us still required to stay indoors, feelings of anxiety and isolation are likely to heighten. With this, the importance of growing a garden is even more crucial. This is because engaging in gardening activities have been proven to help boost one’s mood. Specifically, this happens through a variety of ways.

First, by getting our hands dirty with, we can get in contact with a specific soil bacterium, called Mycobacterium vaccae, which triggers the release of serotonin in our brain. Second, latest studies found that harvesting foods also triggers the release of dopamine in our brain – a reaction which the researchers believe to have developed over nearly 200,000 years ago, back in the age of hunting gathering.

  • Exposure to nature

Similar to when we go out on a camping or outdoor adventure, having our own garden connects us closer to nature, which also has the ability to help refresh our minds and elevate our moods. From the sound of the trees breathing to the smell of the fresh grass, our exposure to nature gives us comfort and even triggers our creative minds.

  • Better air quality

Last but not the least, since plants act as natural air purifier, you can expect that they can help improve the air quality in both your outdoor and indoor setting. Essentially, this is because plants serve as natural air purifiers that absorb carbon dioxide and other pollutants, transpire water vapor, and release oxygen.

This means that the more plants you’ll grow, the better air quality you can expect within your place.

The Bottom Line

Getting tired of having to spend your day on the online world? Embrace the physical scene by turning your attention to gardening and get to enjoy these tons of benefits that come with growing your own garden.

Ways of Finding Your Own Travel Philosophy

Developing Your Personal Travel Philosophy

Ways of Finding Your Own Travel Philosophy - https://twobudgettravelers.com
Those interested in philosophy are not always able to apply it aptly to their real-life experiences. This is the major problem of philosophy – both laypersons having only an indirect relationship with this science and students who work with it day by day tend to think of it in purely theoretical terms. Whether you need philosophy essay help, or wish to apply philosophy to more domains of your life, the first thing to deal with is figure out the sense and meaning thereof.
One of vital life aspects is travel; people travel for many reasons and conduct various activities abroad. But does everyone actually pursue some deeper purposes and make sense of travel experiences in a purely philosophical way? Not all people can travel so meaningfully, but if this is what you look for, here is a nice set of tips for you on how to integrate philosophy in your travel and develop your personal travel philosophy with time.

Why Do You Travel?

The first philosophical question to ask yourself is why you travel. Answering that you simply like to do that won’t do, as this is not the reason. In fact, few people can give an immediate answer to the question; the most frequent but superficial answers are:

  • Visiting new places
  • Rest and relaxation
  • Getting to know other cultures and people
  • Establishing more business partnerships
  • Escaping from the routine.

Ways of Finding Your Own Travel Philosophy - https://twobudgettravelers.com
Most often, individuals travel despite some life circumstances and spend money, time, and effort on the journeys. Hence, travel is not always a bed of roses; sometimes it is connected with serious expenditures, social isolation, diseases, unknown cultures and language, hostile locals, etc. Hence, every traveler seeking a personal travel philosophy should move beyond all these material things connected with traveling and think of what his or her trips change in his/her character, life vision, and personality. The inner change is something that only an insightful traveler can get – not by following the advice of other travelers or passing the well-known tourist routes, but by exploring each place on their own and through the prism of his or her character.
[hoops name=”InArticle”]

Selecting Countries for Travel Depending on Your Philosophy

Ways of Finding Your Own Travel Philosophy - https://twobudgettravelers.com
Another path for exploring your travel philosophy is to look at the countries to which you are attracted and wish to visit. People travel for different purposes and in substantially different ways – while for one person, a successful trip is a one-week relaxing rest on the beach with a cocktail, others travel to the countries tormented by civil wars and famine to help people combat the emergencies and survive. Both of these travels fall within the concept of traveling, but do they have anything in common? Definitely, not – travelers are guided by distinct intentions and wish to get absolutely different experiences from those journeys. Hence, depending on your wish and expectations from the trip, you will see how your personal travel philosophy shapes and takes form with time.

Defining Your Ideal Travel

Ways of Finding Your Own Travel Philosophy - https://twobudgettravelers.com
Besides determining your travel purpose and countries for travel, you should also deal with the type of travel you are ready to undertake, and that will bring you enjoyment. A thing to consider here is the distance; for some of us, getting outside the city to the suburbs for a weekend BBQ is already a travel full of experiences, while others need to travel across half of the world, go to another continent, to be content with the travel. Sometimes the decision does not come at once and you have to try different places and different travel types to select the best fit for you.
And final advice is to enjoy all you do; though at the beginning of the article, it was said that “I love it” is not enough for a travel philosophy, it is still a central component thereof, adding the charm and pleasure to such an activity. Make sure that you do what you want and like, and only such experience may become rewarding enough. Things we like are meaningful for us, and it becomes much easier to analyze these things and develop a philosophy of travel as soon as you accumulate enough impressions and opinions from different travels.

Selah Garden Hotel: Relaxation and Adventure All in One Place

Formerly known as the Selah Garden Suites, this hotel will change the way you look at any other hotels in the metro.

Selah Garden Hotel - www.twobudgettravelers.com

Normally, what we would see in a hotel and their facilities are all rooms, bed, swimming pool, etc. Some do have their unique identity as a ‘designer’ hotel which makes them unique by design but giving the same treatment and services. Some hotels rising are one with golf course but you have to go outside and it’s costly to play.

Selah Garden Hotel became different with their ambition. They want their hotel to be recognized as a different, unique one, not far from the others but with a touch of adventure and enthusiasm at every corner possible. By that statement, they wanted to be exceptional. selah garden hotel

Relaxation plus adventure is what they want to offer their customers without having to go far. Adventure by means of adrenaline rush via taking challenges and pulling exciting stunts. Giving it your best and bringing all the courage you’ve got to finish the courses with all your might. Are you ready to take on the challenge at Selah Garden Hotel?

What Selah Garden Hotel has to offer

One weekend, we were able to experience the relaxation plus adventure provided by Selah Garden Hotel.

Selah Garden Hotel is located in 2715 Park Avenue, San Rafael, Pasay City, a few minutes walk from LRT and MRT Taft station. It has 82 rooms which can accommodate many guests at a time. You wouldn’t even think that this is a hotel when you look from the outside. Once you came in, I bet you’ll definitely be surprised.

It’s a garden-themed hotel boasting of facilities you’d truly enjoy. Here’s a little list of the highlights:

→ Infinity Pool (acts as a double for Scuba Diving class)
→ Hydroponic Garden
→ High Rope Challenge
(Wall Climbing, Free Fall, Zipline, Rope Bridge, etc)
→ Spa Treatment (by the time we were there, it was closed) selah garden hotel

Yes, you read it right! This hotel offers high rope challenges! The hotel has this facility inside so that team building activities and participants won’t be scattered. That’s what relaxation and adventure come at a point. After your team building activities, you may go straight to sleep in your comfortable bed, or dip for a little while in the infinity pool (but take a shower first, please), or ask for a spa treatment at the upper floor.

They are planning to hire in-house therapists for their spa. You may know someone who’s interested?

As for the high rope challenges, make sure your endurance is on a high because it might take your energy away.

The High Rope Challenges

We weren’t able to catch the flag on the wall. I was really so close but the stone was small and it was slippery. Plus the course I chose was the inclined one. It shouldn’t be very hard but with the small and slippery stone there, it made our journey to the top exhausting. We couldn’t get a grip on that small part. All of us. It was still exciting anyway!

Next in the course was the zip line, that was an enjoyable part, it’s only around 20 meters above the ground and this one’s perfectly safe. Kids enjoyed zipline the most according to the staff. Once you get past the zip line, next one was the net bridge, then the rope bridge, and another one of it in a different style. Each course was different so you’d definitely enjoy it! I can assure you I enjoyed all parts! Last on the course was the free fall.

Don’t be scared. You’re just gonna fall slowly. It’s not like a sudden drop (which what I was expecting, but no). selah garden hotel

If you happen to know Sandbox, the amusement in Porac, Pampanga, they have the same contractors/developers so you can be assured that the activities they provide are of high quality and are perfectly safe.

Since Selah Garden Hotel has plenty of rooms, our group were divided into three, Jon and me, Marge and Chiki, Cathy and Pancake.

We had the Flagship Room which can accommodate 2 persons each. It has a refrigerator, sofa (to which can also be used as a bed), a cable television, and two double-sized beds. The comfort room was elegant looking and neat. It’s spacious and serves hot and cold shower. It has more than the space you’d need for a night.

By the morning, my arms were hurting. Aching from the wall climbing and activities we had done from yesterday. I suggest you bring some ointment with you or pain reliever if in case the same happens to you. I felt like I had a sprain. But that didn’t stop me from doing the next activity.

SCUBA Diving Lesson

In Selah Garden Hotel, their infinity pool serves as a classroom for their SCUBA (self-contained underwater breathing apparatus) diving class. It has a reserved depth of 10ft and if you went on the 10 feet depth of the pool, that means you have already passed the lessons and ready to go SCUBA diving anytime at will.

The instructors were Christoferou Chan of RAID Philippines and Ericson Paul Yee, an Ocean Quest Instructor and underwater photographer. They were both good at disseminating instructions. They were all so patient too. We all both took the time we need in order to learn SCUBA diving.

What will be taught in this class? Gears, underwater signals, how to remove water from your mask while diving, how to use your SCUBA gears, how to equalize so you won’t purge your ears, etc. You’ll have your time to test all the skills you have learned from them while in the pool. Gears will be provided in the class and you don’t need to bring any diving materials. selah garden hotel

Important notes:

Every booking comes with a complimentary breakfast.
You may use the infinity pool as much as you want to.
The High Rope Challenge (as stated above) on full-course will cost you 750 pesos ($15) – with gears and staff assistance.
The SCUBA diving class will cost you 2700 pesos ($55) – with SCUBA gears and taught by professional instructors.
Room rate starts at 750 pesos ($15) to 13000 pesos ($260) for a family with many members.

I Found Happiness and Love – How Travel Changed My Life

Five years. It took more than five years for me to realize that she only loves me because she needs me.
I have been loving a person who completely showed that love was just a game.
If you think that the word martyr is only for the ladies, you’re totally wrong. There are people or men who, like me, chose to love the person who constantly breaks our hearts. From being whole, to slowly breaking into pieces, and eventually falling apart.
Maybe for the first few years, she showed me she loved me because she just plainly loved me. But that kind of love wasn’t the kind to last.
I have been cheated on a few times, by this only person, who by that time, I treated as an important part of my life. I was wrong, totally wrong.
I already knew that one would not always get the kind of love you deserve, but still, I was blind. I was turned blind because of the love I have given her.

Loving is easy, being loved back is not. It’s the other person’s prerogative to love you and be loyal or give you the opposite. You have no control over her mind, actions, and heart. As you can see, I completely don’t, and no one does.
The last time the cheating happened, I was devastated.  My world was again shattered, it wasn’t entirely fixed and yet, it went broken again. She had an affair with another guy. The way it worked for her as I see it? New office, new guy. Every new office for her is the same old story for me.
I kept on asking myself. What’s wrong with me? What wrong have I done? What did I do to deserve this? But I always knew the answer. There’s nothing wrong with me. I have not done anything wrong. I don’t deserve this.
By then, I knew it wasn’t the kind of love I deserve. It wasn’t the kind of love I wanted for myself. Five years before I finally opened my eyes and realize everything. This will be the last sunset of ours, and I will not chase our sunrise anymore.

After what I have encountered and experienced, I wanted to do something for myself, and myself alone.
I started fixing myself, my own way.
I started traveling more, and somehow got addicted to it.
I started making new friends. I made myself more sociable. I started doing the things I love and was planning to do. I started recognizing and appreciating the people who were always there for me, even when I was feeling broken and lonely.
This new drug is the kind that you’ll love, and will not harm nor hurt you. It will make you feel good about yourself. It will make you discover new things about you that you didn’t know about. It’ll help you discover new places and open your eyes to new things. It diversifies your view and enhances your vision of life.
You’ll get to see that there are better views without her. You’ll uncover new things that were once not there. You’ll get to appreciate more of people, life, places, and the little things in between.
Traveling will help you cure your loneliness. You are alone but not feeling lonely. You are sick but you are feeling healthy. You were better but you will be feeling great.

This sunset without her would be the best time of your life as it has been for me.
You’d soon find yourself chasing the sunrise and every single of it means a new beginning. Sometime soon, every sunrise you see will be a better version of yourself.
You will find peace along and will learn to forgive the person who hurt you. You will learn to accept that most things will not be by your own way and everything happens for a reason.
She left because she doesn’t deserve your love and someone else deserves the kind of treatment you give. She left because God knows she’s not the best for you.
She left because someone along the way will be better.
South Cebu Itinerary and Travel Guide - www.twobudgettravelers.com
Forgiveness and adaptation to change are what traveling will teach you. I learned to forgive and learned to love again without the fear of getting hurt.
Suddenly, I found myself chasing sunrise again. This time, with the person I met during my traveling. Every single day, I look forward to seeing sunrise and sunsets with her.
A sunrise of the new beginning, a sunset of looking forward to chasing tomorrow’s sunrise. The kind of sunshine you will love, that I truly love.
It’s common for us to find ourselves through traveling. It enables us to be a better version of our old self. It magnifies our field of view to everything. From the smallest ones to the biggest in the society.
We only have one life and one heart but we can love a million lives and a million people.
Of those million people, a few will see through you and will be a part of your circle. But one of those million will truly give you the life you want, the love you deserve, and they too, deserve the love and the life you intend to give.
Traveling signifies many things.
But the most important is you have to love yourself first and everything will come after whether it be the good, the bad, or the better.
Five years is long, but it only takes a snap to love yourself.
Traveling helps you change the old you into a person you never thought you could become.
It taught me to be stronger, for all the challenges of life.
It taught me to be more compassionate, for nature and people.
It taught me to become more responsible, in all aspects you can imagine.
I am now a better version of myself.
Thru traveling, I and my now girlfriend crossed each other’s paths and there, we found new happiness.

Top 6 Travel Essentials for Expert Packers

The most savvy travelers know that packing is truly an art. Whether you’re going for a two week trip or a weekend vacation, expert packers know that you really don’t need as much as you might think you do. But packing well isn’t necessarily about cutting down on outfit options or making sacrifices. By investing in a few key items, you can minimize the amount you have packed but still look and feel great for the entire length of your trip.
top-6-travel-essentials-for-expert-packers
Check out our top 6 travel essentials for expert packers:

1. A reliable, compact suitcase

The foundation to a great packing strategy is a reliable and compact suitcase. Why? One that’s bulky, has fussy zippers, or takes up a lot of space can be a pain to lug around, or worse, could end up breaking mid-trip. Before you go on your next vacation, consider investing in a new travel suitcase.

READ: Take 5 – Some great Christmas gift ideas for travelers

If you generally travel to urban areas, a lightweight suitcase with wheels is best for hopping from Point A to Point B. But if you’re the more adventurous type and prefer to backpack around the world, you might opt for a backpack with solid back support so that you can easily move between destinations.
Another thing to keep in mind when buying new luggage, is the organizational space. Suitcases with a place to store your intimates or shoes could save you some space for other items.

2. Items that take up minimal space

While it’s often tempting to pack your entire closet when traveling to Paris or some other high-fashion destination, you really don’t need to. Plus, you’re probably going to want to buy some items there anyway. While you’re packing, choose items that take up less space if you can. Rather than packing bulky, lace-up boots, think about packing a pair of chelsea boots or a pair of comfortable clogs instead.
If you’re headed to a cold climate, you might think about packing a compact puffy jacket rather than a thick wool trench coat to keep warm. Take advantage of any space that you can by choosing items that won’t take up precious real estate in your suitcase!

3. Shoes that are casual and comfortable

Depending on where you’re traveling to and what you have planned to do there, it might feel like you need a different pair of shoes for every activity. But if you buy shoes that are comfortable and can serve multiple purposes, you won’t need to. A pair of casual and stylish athletic shoes, for example, can be worn to walk the town, shop, and exercise. As a general rule, two pairs of shoes should do the trick—one more casual pair and one that can be worn out to a nice dinner or for a night on the town.

4. Space savers

The trick to saving space when your bag is almost filled to the brim? Packing cubes! Sure, you might know how to military pack, but the second you arrive at your destination, your organized bag will likely become a mess as soon as you need to pull out a new item to wear. Instead of keeping all of your items in your luggage during your trip, you can separate your packing cubes into drawers when you arrive at your hotel or vacation rental space!

READ: Take 5 – Some great Christmas gift ideas for travelers

5. Mix and match clothing

Another good way to cut down on packing list items is to only bring clothes that you can mix and match. Items with neutral palettes and modern styles can all be combined without looking like you’re clashing. Instead of bringing statement shoes, blouses, or outerwear, bring along some statement earrings that take up less space but still make your style stand out!

6. Dual-purpose toiletries

If you’re going to be gone for a long period of time, you’ll probably want to bring a few toiletries with you. But once again, packing a lot of products in your toiletry bag takes up space. Instead of bringing all of the items in your medicine cabinet, consider bringing natural products like Dr. Bronner’s soap which can be used as hand soap, body wash, laundry detergent, and even toothpaste—talk about multipurpose!

Best Beaches in the World According to Travel Bloggers | Page 4

(continuation from Page 3)

31. Caleta de Maro in Spain

According to Linn Haglund of Pack Up and Wander
Follow her adventures via her Facebook Page

Caleta de Maro is one of my absolute favorite beaches. It is situated in Maro close to the trendy beach holiday destination Nerja in southern Spain. Caleta de Maro is the little brother of the more popular and easier accessible Maro beach.
It might be harder to get to Caleta de Maro, but then again you are rewarded with a spectacular virgin beach surrounded by wild plants and trees and partly inhabited by hippies. The bay is only partly visible from above which makes it relatively private. However, as most of the best virgin beaches in Spain, clothing is optional, so you need to be open-minded when going there.
There is some nice snorkeling in clear blue water along the cliffs next to the beach. The beach has no bars that sell drinks or food, so you will have to bring your own if you plan to spend the day. And on any hot day, plenty of drinking water is a must. best beaches in the world
What makes Caleta de Maro a favorite is definitely the fact that it is less crowded by tourists, but also that it is a 100% nature experience. What could be better in one of Europe’s most visited summer destinations?

32. Praia Lopes Mendes in Brazil

According to Or Amir of My Path In The World

best-beaches-in-the-world-according-to-travel-bloggers-page-4
Brazil is well-known for its incredible beaches, and you can find some pretty magical ones on Ilha Grande, an island nestled not too far from Rio de Janeiro.
One of the most beautiful beaches on this island is Praia Lopes Mendes. The white sand, crystal clear water, tropical mountainous surroundings, and relaxed vibe are what makes it a must-visit beach and a personal favorite of mine. It is approximately 3 km long, so even during high season, it doesn’t get overcrowded, yet another reason to love it. best beaches in the world
The easiest way to get to Praia Lopes Mendes is by taking a boat from Vila do Abraão, Ilha Grande’s main touristic and populated area. All tourism agencies in Abraão sell boat tickets to Praia Lopes Mendes, and you can take the short boat ride every other half an hour. The boats drop you off at Pouso beach, and from there you have to walk for about 20 minutes to get to Lopes Mendes beach. Some parts of the trail involve ascending and descending, so be sure to bring walking shoes or sandals in addition to flip-flops.

33. Sanibel Island Lighthouse Beach in Florida, USA

Just off the coast of Ft. Myers, Florida in the southeastern United States lies the island of Sanibel, a barrier island that was cut in two by a hurricane years ago, separating it from Captiva Island by a narrow inlet that flows from the Gulf of Mexico. It’s the kind of island that demands a laid-back and sandy tropical vacation where kids play in the surf and the adults follow suit. You won’t find high rise hotels or glitzy nightclubs.
In fact, local building code requires that nothing but the Sanibel Lighthouse be higher than the surrounding palm trees, making most everything you see obscured by nature. The beaches here have gorgeous white sand beaches, but more importantly, Sanibel has the best beaches for shelling. In fact, Sanibel is known as the Shelling Capital of the World for the thousands of colorful seashells that wash upon its shores each day.
You’ll find the best shells on Sanibel’s Lighthouse Beach before the sky lights up at the end of the day with a fiery sunset. So get there early, do the Sanibel Stoop and scoop up handfuls of these gifts from the sea. They’re the perfect souvenir to bring home. best beaches in the world

As part of our backpacking journey, we have been to a couple of beaches in Southeast Asia and the world, but it is the Railay beach in the Southern Thai province of Krabi which has won our hearts as the most favorite one ever. Located on the peninsula only accessible by boat due to the high rocky mountains around it, the beach feels more secluded than some of its overly visited neighbors.

As we arrived in the Western part of Railay we just sat on the beach and tried to slowly take in the beauty surrounding us. It felt like we had died and gone straight to heaven. It was unbelievable. The romantic vividly colored longtail boats, clear turquoise water, soft creamy sand and the gorgeous proud limestone cliffs encircling the beach looked like a cutout from a fancy travel magazine. Yet the vibe on the beach was truly Thai – absolutely relaxed and unpretentious.

We got ourselves impossibly delicious fresh fruit juices and enjoyed the scenic beach feeling deeply content and grateful.

35. Anse Source D’Argent, Seychelles

According to Laurence Norah of Finding the Universe

Anse Source D'Argent Seychelles

Anse Source D’Argent on the island of La Digue in Seychelles is one of my favorite beaches in the Seychelles, and definitely a contender for the best beach in the world!

There’s a lot to love about this beach. The swimming is good because the water is calm and shallow, being protected by a reef. The Seychelles islands are close to the equator and surrounded by the warm Indian Ocean, so the water temperature is ideal for swimming. The sand is a glorious powdery white color.
The highlight though has to be the massive granite boulders that frame the beach. Seychelles are the oldest island chain in the world and the only oceanic archipelago that is made of continental granite. So this beach is truly unique in the world, and stunning as a result.
it is a popular beach to visit, although this is a relative term as Seychelles never gets particularly busy. Reaching the beach is only possible through the Union Estate, for which there is an entrance fee which is equivalent to around 8 USD. It’s also a bit of a walk from the main town on La Digue, so hiring a bike is a good option. best beaches in the world

While there’s no shortage of gorgeous beaches around the world, one of our absolute favorites is Kelingking Beach in Indonesia. This beautiful stretch of white sand is located on Nusa Penida, a quiet island not far from Bali. Kelingking is famous for its viewpoint atop the cliff looking down on the beach below. (Some say the formation of the coastline looks like a dinosaur!) You may recognize the view from Instagram, as the stunning vista of bright blue water has become somewhat iconic.
You can walk down the trail to a second viewpoint to get an even better glimpse of the water below. Adventurers that want a bigger thrill can take the trail all the way down to the beach. It’s a very steep trail, with plenty of caution signs warning you to turn back and at times almost vertical slopes. But if you’re careful, the reward is a secluded white sand beach with incredible turquoise water. While we don’t recommend swimming unless you’re a strong swimmer and have a buddy watching out for you, there’s nothing better than kicking back in the shade and soaking in the pride of going where few travelers dare to adventure.

Tasmania’s stunning east coast is lined with mile after mile of gorgeous beaches, many of which are practically deserted all year round. Towards the north end of the east coast is the glorious Bay of Fires. Surrounded by sweeping forests and lush fields of green, the beaches at Bay of Fires are close to paradise. The stunning white sands and turquoise blue sea waters at the Bay of Fires have to be seen to be believed.

Still relatively undiscovered, Tasmania’s beaches, and specifically the Bay of Fires, are easily amongst the best in Australia. Look out for the wildlife too. Wallabies live off the shrubs all around the beaches and are regularly spotted hopping along the sand. Keep an eye out for whales out at sea. Humpback and southern right whales migrate past Tasmania’s east coast for several months a year and are often seen passing by along the beautiful Bay of Fires. best beaches in the world

We have been lucky enough to visit some of the world’s best beach destinations, but when asked where our favorite beach is, there’s no hesitation… Playa Avellanas, Costa Rica. Hands down, every time.
Playa Avellanas is located in the popular Guanacaste region of Costa Rica but has managed to keep its ‘off-the-beaten-track’ feel. It’s the perfect place to experience the Pura Vida laid back lifestyle that Costa Rica is known for. The beach is perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers.
The tranquillity and pristine sand backed by lush vegetation offer a perfect spot, where you can reconnect with yourself and nature. But Playa Avellanas is so much more than a chill-out beach. It’s known for a popular surf spot, ‘Little Hawaii’, that offers amazing offshore swells which make it one of the world’s top surfing destinations. best beaches in the world
Don’t worry if you’ve never caught a wave, Playa Avellanas is also safe for complete beginners, and there are even surf schools offering lessons right on the beach. If surfing isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other activities offered on Playa Avellanas and in the surrounding areas, including yoga, SUP, kayaking, horseback riding tours and more!

The famous Eat Pray Love Hollywood movie filmed and after that this beach became famous as Padang Padang Beach. best beaches in the world

40. Phang Nga on Koh Yao Yai, Thailand

According to Hannah Latimer-Snel of Bold Destinations
https://www.bolddestinations.com/
Koh Yao Yai is an island located in the Southern part of Thailand in-between Phuket and Krabi. It has a sister island named Koh Yao Noi which is more popular among tourists, making Koh Yao Yai even more special and quiet. On the island is Phang Nga, a beautiful peninsula beach that appears and disappears with the tides. The beach is filled with soft white sand, clear aquamarine water, and little sand crabs that run up and down the beach. best beaches in the world
The best time to visit for swimming is during high tide which lasts from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm. If you are looking for a more quiet experience, however, head to the beach in the morning. In the morning, there will be little islands connecting to the beach and you can appear as if you are walking on water. When the tide is out the crabs come out too. This is the perfect time to explore the ocean floor and search for treasures.

Wearing Mask And Social Distancing: Ways To Protect Your Families And Relatives During COVID 19

With the nouveau virus COVID 19 affecting the lives of many Canadians, many people have a lot of unanswered questions about it.
However, with research underway, we can only strive to keep safe. As we can all relate, family and relatives are the only things that have been keeping us going during these difficult times of self-isolation and quarantine.
With many people undergoing stress, depression, uncertainties, it is only fair that you practice the following simple measures to keep safe and protect your family as well.

Wearing a Face Shield

Photo by engin akyurt on Unsplash

Face shields offer a variety of advantages over the facemask such as shielding your eyes which can be an entry point of the virus. A face shield also reduces the risks of you touching your face from time to time using your hands which may have picked the virus from surfaces.
According to research, when we speak, we release both large and very fine aerosols into the air unknowingly. While wearing a face mask protects you from the droplets, face shields are 10 times more effective against fine aerosols than the face mask. Nevertheless, wearing a face mask and a face shield at the same time will offer you 100% protection from the virus.
Moreover, face shields are more convenient in that a quality Faceshield thanks to face shield Canada is reusable. While medical masks have limited durability and little potential of reprocessing, you can carefully wash a face shield with soap and water or household disinfectant. Again, people wearing facemasks always find themselves removing them to communicate with people around them which is not possible with a face shield. If you have a problem with wearing a face mask, a face shield is a better option to keep safe and protect your loved ones.

Ensure you always have a face mask on when you are in public

Photo by engin akyurt on Unsplash

Following the rapid spread of COVID 19, the government recommended that everyone should have a face mask on when in public. It is one way of protecting yourself and those around you.
COVID 19 spreads through cough droplets that can remain on surfaces and particularly in the air for at least 24 hours. Wearing a face mask protects your nose and mouth from the COVID 19 droplets that may still be in the air.
In addition to that, we are prone to touching or face particularly eyes, mouth, and nose unconsciously during any time of the day. Your hands may have come into contact with a surface that has COVID 19 droplets and touching your face exposes you to contracting the virus, so, wearing a face mask comes in handy as your mouth and nose which are the entry points are covered during such cases.

The importance of social distancing

Photo by Kate Trifo on Unsplash

Social distancing remains a critical way to mitigate the spread of COVID 19 in Canada and other parts of the world. Since cough or sneezing droplets do not travel more than 6 feet from the source, ensure you keep a distance of 6 feet or more from the next person.
Furthermore, teach your family members and always remind them to keep a 6 feet social distance with people in public. COVID 19 infected people can either be symptomatic or asymptomatic. You can’t know who the carrier of the virus is, so keeping a distance is the only way to protect yourself. Again, do not presume that since you have a face mask or shield, you will not contract the virus. That is not the case. Apart from wearing a face mask or face shield ensure you keep a distance.

Washing hands or sanitizing as often as you can

COVID 19 virus can remain on different surfaces for incredibly long than we can imagine. While we are prone to touching surfaces from doorknobs, to bus /train handles, counters etc., it is only advisable that you keep washing your hands thoroughly with soap and running water from time to time.
If you are traveling, ensure you carry with you a sanitizer that has at least 70% alcohol for disinfecting your hands when you touch surfaces in public. Avoid touching your mouth, nose, eyes, or face as much as you can.
At home, ensure you do regular cleaning with soap, detergents, and disinfectants, especially on surfaces and objects that your family touches often. They include doorknobs, light switches, tables, countertops, cabinet handles, fridge handles and every surface that is prone to the virus. Remember to wash stuffed animals and other toys as well in warm water and dry completely. Cleaning surfaces and objects thoroughly with soap and water kill the virus; therefore, that is a way to protect your family.
Encourage the family members to regularly wash hands before eating food, after touching surfaces, after using the bathroom, after touching pets, after sneezing and coughing. Train them to cough or sneeze into the elbow or disposable tissue papers.

Protect vulnerable family members and relatives

Although everyone is prone to contracting COVID 19, there are specific groups that are at more significant risk of contracting the virus.  They include the elderly such as our grandparents, people with underlying chronic medical conditions such as HIV/AIDS, asthma, tuberculosis, hypertension, diabetes, and generally people with compromised immune systems.
If you have a family member, relative in either of the category, ensure you maintain a social distance with them if you go outdoors and in public more often to avoid bringing them the virus at home. In addition to that, choose phone or video calls over visits and offer to do their grocery shopping instead of them going out in public. Enlighten them about the virus and train them on the safety measures they can practice keeping safe.

It’s better to avoid playdates

With schools being closed and most of the kids and family members staying at home, they may miss friends and relatives. It is not a safe time for traveling or gathering or meeting other people. Although children are the least affected by the virus because they have a robust immune system, they may carry the virus without symptoms spreading it to other people.
Kids are not good at practicing social distancing, so ensure they stay at home. Video calls can be a fun way to get in touch with their friends.

The bottom line

As we wait for the discovery of a vaccine, you must practice the safety measures to keep the virus at bay and stay at home if you can.
