Visiting Canada: Best Places to Spend Your Vacation

Like any other country in the world, Canada has been blessed with its own beautiful and mysterious creations that are unique in their own way.
Canada is located in North America and has ten provinces and three territories extending to 9.98 million square kilometers (3.85 million square miles), making it the world’s largest country by total area.
Canada also has a range of climate all around the year making it a perfect place to take a vacation and even a date in the lively Chinatowns in Vancouver, Toronto, And Victoria won’t get you dumped. Note that visitors from other countries aren’t allowed entry to Canada without a valid and proper visa.
Now, here are the ten best places to visit in Canada when you and your family are going on a grand vacation.

1: Tsusiat Falls, British Columbia

This is one of the destinations that you can’t afford to miss when you visit Canada. It is one of the main highlights on the trail with a breathtaking and mind-blowing appearance Including beautiful, scenic, and endless beaches, Tsusiat Falls being visible all along with the beach Swimming under the falls is amazing and finally, a large sea that can have room for a lot of tents.

2: Jasper National Park

This area a hotspot all year round with a lot of breathtaking and adventurous activities to explore. The list of stuff to do in this area is endless but you can’t afford to miss the epic backcountry hikes in the summer, plus visits to waterfalls and glacial lakes in the winters. Most of all don’t forget to do snowshoeing and winter camping in the Wapiti which is a great place for family camping.

3: Fort St. James National Historic Site

Yeah I know it looks funny but trusts me once you take a visit to this cultural area you will agree with me that it is a place worth taking a look at. Just imagine traveling back in time to 1896 when wealth was measured in fur pelts and salmon, the natural bounty bartered by the Carrier First Nations. Unlike other places, you visit everything done here is pretty old school. Think of world-class chicken racing,” escape the fort challenge” and best of all you could get a chance to spend a night in the historic home of the fort’s former chief factor, just as it was in 1896, down to the bedding, wood stove and chamber pot. Enjoy after-hours free rein of the fort.

4: Quebec City, Quebec

Québec City is located in the Saint Lawrence River in Canada mostly French-speaking Québec province. This city dates back to 1608, it has a fortified colonial core, Vieux-Québec, and Place Royale, with stone buildings and narrow streets. This area is the site of the towering Château Frontenac Hotel and imposing Citadelle of Québec. With a variety of climate, it proves to be a place worth visiting and offers more than one can imagine.

5: Maligne Lake, Alberta

It goes without saying that this is a potential destination worth having on your list. This place will blow your mind with boat cruises through Samson narrows to Spirit Islands(A tiny Island With Trees) and you will also be able to see wildlife. It will also be a big loss if you don’t get to go in guided fishing tours in the area.

6: Bruce Peninsula, Ontario

Bruce Penisula, Ontario offers a lot of touring options to select from including national parks, beaches, the Grotto, lighthouses, Bruce trail, and hiking among others. My personal best is the stunning combination of rugged rocks, ancient trees and calm waters of Lake Huron. You would also be impressed by the rare wildflowers and orchids.

7: Churchill, Manitoba

This is one of my personal best areas that I wish to visit. If you are an animal lover then you must be prepared to get amazed by the beautiful polar bears in the fall. The fun fact about this is that there are more polar bears than residents in this area. You will also get to watch playful and curious beluga whales traversing in from Hudson Bay. This is a place you must go to your next visit to Canada.

8: The Bay of Fundy

The main aesthetic beauty of this place is from the geography point of view.  The Bay Of Fundy is one of the 7 wonders of North America with the rarest type of whales in the world, semi-precious rocks, and dinosaur fossils. This made a panel of experts to chose Fundy Bay as one of the natural wonders in the World back in 2014.

9: On the trail of the Titanic in Nova Scotia

If you love world history then you wouldn’t miss a visit to Halifax. There are a lot of places and buildings located in Halifax including funeral homes, cemeteries, and churches that are associated with the Titanic casualties. It is also the place with the best wooden Titanic artifacts in the World. If you have been seeking answers about the unsinkable Titanic, then this is your chance.

10: Western Brook Pond

This is a place for the Geography lovers for it explores the concept of lake formation and it can arguably be called a “fjord”. The place is a dramatic setting for boat racing. The boat tour can be reached via Route 430, 27 kilometers north of Rocky Harbour. From the parking lot, there is a 45-60 minute walk (three kilometers or roughly two miles) to the dock. Apart from the boat rides one can find a sheltered waiting area, indoor washroom facilities, canteen services, gift shop, and several beautiful picnic areas.

Kartini Hotel Review: The Hotel-Casino in Kawit

My brother handed over a voucher to me for an overnight stay in Kartini Hotel located in Kawit, Cavite. I was quite familiar with the place because I used to see that when on a bus ride going to Pico de Loro.

Kartini Hotel - www.twobudgettravelers.com

Kartini Hotel is a 3-star hotel (or 4?) with contemporary rooms as they call it. There only are few hotels in Kawit and Kartini Hotel is the only one that’s offering a casino play. They were partnered with PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation). You may access the casino area even when you’re a guest and didn’t actually book a hotel room. kartini hotel

hoops name=”AdNumber1″]

Facilities include a restaurant o a bar & restaurant, function rooms for different occasions, casino, and rooms if you’d like to stay for the night for a reasonable price. Sadly, they don’t have a pool in the hotel but boy, they have plenty of spaces for parking.

As for our stay, after the voucher was acknowledged, we were brought to our room. The rooms were named after ladies with the famous names, ours was Princess Eleonore.

The room was just okay honestly. There was no wow factor in it. The good side was that the place was peaceful and quiet. The room was just like other typical rooms. The bed was just normal, the mattress or the foams were normal too, just soft but nothing more. Nothing too special about the room that was offered to us. Maybe because it came from a voucher, hence, it was a free staycation. Not sure about the other rooms but if I’m gonna base it on the photo, some of them looked awesome.

We’re still glad we stayed, though. The staff was all accommodating and courteous. Every time you see each one of them is a smile. And we still had a good sleep. kartini hotel

Before we call it a night, we stayed in the bar & restaurant section for a few drinks. I and Jane were the only guests inside the bar by that time because others had already left. There was a live singing performance and it was quite cool.

We ought to explore the vicinity as well. At first, the corridors were quite confusing. Every corner was a puzzle even when the hotel itself wasn’t so big. The casino was located on the second floor.. or the third floor. I’m not quite sure now. But don’t worry, there will be directions on the way to the casino.

I was amazed by the casino area. That was the first time I was able to see a real casino. Slot machines, baccarat dealer and players, blackjack, and many other games. We haven’t tried anything. I don’t wanna end up bankrupt just because it was my first time in the casino. Maybe next time, when I have some extra money to spend. kartini hotel

So to sum it up, if you’re looking for a quick stay, Kartini Hotel is good for you. If you’re looking for a place to play casino, Kartini Hotel is the best for you if you’re within the vicinity. If you’re looking for a quick drink, you can also have it here. If you’re looking for function rooms, they have a few available. The staffs in Kartini Hotel were awesome, you won’t have problems with them.

Kartini Hotel - www.twobudgettravelers.com

They currently have promos too. You might wanna check them out. An eat-all-you-can buffet for 250 Pesos. I heard that the food here was great. We haven’t had the chance to eat in the restaurant because we already ate other food from the outside.

Establishments could be found elsewhere outside Kartini Hotel. Just a few meters away and there’s a coffee shop. Just another block and there are convenience stores. Check for it and look around.

What to do when in Kawit, Cavite? Check this post.

How to get to Kartini Hotel from Manila?

Ride a bus from the Provincial terminal located in Pasay (Coastal Mall) bound to Maragondon / Naic. It will pass by Kartini Hotel. Ask the driver to drop you off in front of the hotel.

Key Advantages Of Hiring A Private Jet When Traveling To Another Country

Chartering a private jet is expensive, but it comes with a myriad of unmatched benefits. In fact, flying private actually makes economic sense, especially if you tend to travel a lot or get impromptu appointments with international clients and even for personal reasons.
The following are some of the top benefits of hiring a private jet when traveling.

It is time-saving.
Very few things are as draining as endless layovers that commercial flights subject their clients to. It doesn’t matter if you are traveling for business or personal reasons; the time wastage synonymous with commercial flights is very annoying.
Private make the best use of your time. In fact, they adjust their routes and schedules to fit your needs.
Besides saving time onboard, private jets will also liberate you from the never-ending traffic on the roads leading to major airports. Most private jets can operate from regional airports, making it easier for you to access your flights.
For the people who get appointments at a moment’s notice, private jets can be chartered, fuelled, and staffed in just a couple of hours!
By saving all this time, flying privately allows you to stay productive by reducing the time you spend on the commute. It also gives you a chance to have a personal life with your family and friends.

1.  It Offers So Much Freedom

A private jet charter gives you incredible freedom not just on where you can travel to, but also on the plane and even the crew you can fly with.
As pointed out, these jets can operate in major and regional airports. This increases landing destinations significantly. And guess what? You can change your destinations mid-flight if something else comes up.
Most private jet providers also give their clients the option of picking the aircraft that meets their needs. For instance, bitluxtravel.com/ offers its clients a wide range of crafts from Turboprops to VIP level airliner jets. This essentially means there’s a perfect craft for everyone.

2.  There’s Plenty Of Luggage Allowance

Chartered jets have a bigger baggage allowance. Of course, the exact size will depend on the jet you choose but in any case; the allowance is always bigger than the one offered by commercial flights.
This means you’ll have more freedom to carry the items you need to make your trip worthwhile. It also saves you the awkward moments of struggling to force your luggage on the tiny overhead compartments.

3.  It Is Very Comfortable

The comfort you get from a private jet is unparalleled. In fact, most people charter private aircraft just for comfort. You’ll have the lavatories for yourself, a modern tv, Wi-Fi, gaming consoles, and a great sound system just in case you decide to have a luxury party onboard.
The flight crew and attendants will also make your trip seamless since you’re the only client they’re taking care of.

4.  It Comes With Decent Sleeping Amenities

Most people come off a busy day en route for another appointment the next morning. Commercial planes will tell you they have luxurious seats that support maximum relaxation, but the experience is always frustrating. There will always be someone somewhere in the plane making noises. Then there are lights which you don’t have control over.
A luxury jet can organize a full-sized bed just for you! And if your budget is a bit limited, you will still get a comfortable recline seat, and the crew will make sure nothing interrupts your sleep.

5.  You Can Take Your Pets With You

You know that sad face your dogs make every time you leave them behind for a trip? And that terrible feeling throbbing in your heart knowing the trip will be really dull without them? Well, you don’t have to endure any of that when you’re flying private. All you have to do is get a health certificate and the necessary vaccinations, and your pets join you on the trip.

6.  It Offers Extreme Privacy

Chartered private jets offer unrivaled privacy. You’ll never have to go through overcrowded lounges. Neither will you have to interact with the person next seat who can’t seem to shut up. You’ll have the entire plane to yourself and a cordial crew ready to serve you.
It doesn’t stop there. Some providers let you charter your plane with cryptocurrency, so you won’t be leaving a trail of your personal details behind.
This privacy allows you to enjoy a nice getaway vacation with no interruptions. It also gives you space to interact with your family, friends, or business partners more freely.
The benefits of chartered private jets are undebatable. The comfort, efficiency, luxury, and mere experience of flying private is something everyone ought to experience.

Coron Island Ultimate Tour with Coron Blue Lagoon Adventure Travel & Tours

There are quite a few things you can do while on your visit to Coron. One of which is island hopping to see the beautiful and mesmerizing islands in Coron that will surely take your breath away. When God poured paradise islands from above, Coron definitely got the most of it. This island is blessed with many gifts, many pretty sights, and much underwater marine beauty. Coron Island Ultimate Tour
When you head to Coron, there are quite a few offerings for island tours. To get the most of the highlight beauties in one day, they had made an option called Coron Ultimate Island Tour. This includes the Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Siete Pecados, Banol Beach, Coral Garden, and CYC Beach. These are 6 beauties in one day. Our Coron Town Tour and Coron Island Ultimate Tour were provided by Coron Blue Lagoon Adventure Travel & Tours. Book with them as they have provided the best experience for us on our days in Coron.

Best Service from Coron Blue Lagoon Adventure Travel & Tours

Coron Blue Lagoon Adventure provided us van transfers from our hotel to the port and back to our hotel after the tour. Our guide was Kuya Gel. We were also joined with two other travellers, a couple, Met and Pros. Even though we’re just four travellers in the boat, Coron Blue Lagoon Adventure still pushed thru the tour and kudos to them for that. Unlike with other tour providers who would require a minimum number of pax to operate. Coron Island Ultimate Tour

Siete Pecados

Siete Pecados or “Seven Sins” is the first highlight of the tour.  Recommended most for snorkelling. It’s a marine sanctuary composed of seven islands serving as a sanctuary for marine life. Siete Pecados is a tale of 7 brothers who decided to attend a party in a nearby island but unknown to many, brought a dark plan for creating a riot. On their way to the island, they met a storm which caused their boat to sink. The 7 brothers were lost and nowhere to be found. The following day, 7 islands of different sizes suddenly appeared and believed to be the 7 brothers who were punished by the supreme being.

[READ: Siete Pecados: Camarines Norte] Coron Island Ultimate Tour

Kayangan Lake

One of the two lakes in Coron Island that is open to the public, Baraccuda Lake being the other. It’s a steep 10 to 15 minutes climb and steps towards the inward lake. Midway to the climb is a view deck overlooking the lagoon, a famous spot for taking a mandatory photo.
Kayangan Lake is also known as the “cleanest lake in the Philippines” surrounded by limestone cliffs and guarded by the Tagbanua tribesmen. It has 30% saltwater and 70% freshwater.

Banol Beach

A place where lunch is mostly served. Banol Beach is an island covered in powdery white sands surrounded by crystal clear waters of Coron. A place best for relaxing, swimming, taking photos, and just enjoying the view of the land area and the waters surrounding it. There also is a small shop where you can purchase drinks and snacks and beer with a chained monkey nearby. The monkey in this beach is chained as it could cause torment to people having their lunch. Coron Island Ultimate Tour

Twin Lagoon

This is best enjoyed when low-tide as you could swim beneath the crevice to the bigger lagoon. One of the must-see destinations in Coron. The lagoon has changing temperatures due to freshwater and saltwater content meeting together that makes the water blurry. The first lagoon is mostly where the boats dock and the second lagoon is where the people are heading to, to enjoy swimming, floating, and picture taking. The depth of the waters is not known so it’ll be safer with your lifevests around you.

Coral Garden

Known for its name, Coral Garden is a home to thousand marine species and probably the most colourful marine life you’d ever see in Coron. Just by snorkelling with your life vest on, you’d be able to witness huge clams, colourful weeds and corals, and fishes with different sizes and colours. Beware of sea urchins though, I called a few spots of it Sea Urchin Garden as there are too much sea urchins for me in the area.

CYC Beach

CYC Beach Coron - https://twobudgettravelers.com
CYC means “Coron Youth Club.” One interesting fact about this place is that this is the only beach with no entrance fee. It has a longer stretch compared to Banol Beach. CYC beach is a place for swimming and snorkelling adventures. The shallow parts of the water tend to be rocky, so it will be better to wear aqua shoes if you plan to swim just a little bit far from the shore. Coron Island Ultimate Tour
For our lunch, we had these delectable meal shared by us four. The food was also served generously and they are guaranteed fresh. We never did expect that the food will be more than enough for four people. That’s how great the service of Coron Blue Lagoon Adventure Travel and Tours is to their clients.

Kuya Gel, our tour guide, has been very nice and friendly. He made sure that all of us were alright and in good condition. He also became our photographer in a few of our shots. The day after our town tour, we had them invited to our hotel for drinks but unfortunately, Pros and Met caught diarrhoea. Kuya Gel had to check them out and made sure that the two are okay. He accompanied them to the hospital for a check-up even though it’s getting late for the night. For us, that is a great plus because he cares for the clients!
Thank you, Coron Blue Lagoon Adventure Travel & Tours for an awesome adventure!

Azure Staycation: Sojourning at an Urban Oasis | How to Book | Review & Experience

Summer is fast moving out and if you think you don’t have much time to enjoy the summer, you still have a chance! Did you know that there is a beach in the center of Parañaque? Just a few minutes away from Makati City!
Also, if you want to check our staycation when we were in Makati, check out our experience staying at the Gramercy Residences.

AZURE STAYCATION

Azure Staycation - https://twobudgettravelers.com

Azure Urban Resort Residences is inspired by Miami’s white ocean-swept aesthetic. It’s located in the middle of Parañaque City, just 2 or 3 mins walk away from SM City Bicutan. If you’re driving from Makati to South of Manila, you can definitely check out their high-rise condominium buildings when you peek at the right side of the window.
We were actually thrilled when we heard we will be staying at Azure Urban Resort Residences. We were just eyeing it a few days ago and then here comes the opportunity to stay at one of the units there and get to experience the amenities we only see in pictures.

Azure Staycation Rates:

Book a staycation at Azure Residences for only P2,000 per night for the whole month of April.
Regular Rate: P2,500.00

Our Azure Staycation Review and Experience

Azure Urban Resort Residences will definitely capture your naked eyes. It has amenities comparable to a 4 or 5-star hotel. The only difference is that you are staying at a condominium and not a hotel, but basically, you’ll have the same experience.

We were introduced to the suite in Miami Tower by the unit owner herself. We were given the “Urban Chic” room with a nice and posh interior which looks simple during the day but it transforms into its real beauty during the night. It’s like magic, I swear! At daytime, the room looks great, but when the daylight is out, the room looked even greater. The white wall finishing plus the lights are complimenting one another making the colored garments shine and stand out. azure staycation
Inside is like your own home. You have the refrigerator, induction cooker, cooking utensils, cutleries, and other stuff required in the kitchen. All you need to bring are the things that you needed cooking. If you don’t feel like cooking for food, you can just go out and buy something at the mall which is just 2 to 3 minutes away only from Azure. I had no issues with it as everything is complete from pots to cutleries.

The unit is well-maintained with clean room, sheets, towels, and comfort room. However, I wasn’t sure if there was a probation for the hot shower the time we stayed there, though it’s not a deal breaker. The view from the balcony was the city view. The unit also has air-conditioner and LED TV with TV Plus channels.
Overall, we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. We really wished we could stay longer than two days. We had a smooth experience from booking to checking-in until checking-out. The units are also highly recommended (I was also able to check and see the other room they are offering) and the interiors are inviting. Guests have access to the wave pool, man-made beach, and others. Staying in Azure with Staycation Suites Philippines is a bliss. Would definitely go back and book with them again.

Villa Elisha | The Perfect Forest Staycation When in Antipolo

In the search for the perfect getaway for a weekend with my friends, we stumbled upon an interesting property in Antipolo, the Villa Elisha.

Villa Elisha in Antipolo

Fun Fact: The Yacht Staycation we already blogged about also owns Villa Elisha. 🙂
Villa Elisha, Antipolo - https://twobudgettravelers.com
Villa Elisha, located at Padilla, Antipolo, Rizal, is a hidden gem of its place and is only about 2 hours from Manila. It lies within the grounds of Phillip’s Sanctuary, a team-building ground facility where you and your team can enjoy various activities. It is a 2-story house with a magnificent view of the forest and the sanctuary.
This villa is perfect for family and barkada getaways or couple staycations, just like us. You can have your own private staycation getaway with 3 rooms and a loft room, with complete kitchen and bathroom amenities and private pool all by yourself if you rent it out!

If you want to explore the forest surrounding the area, that’s possible! Villa Elisha is located in a 30-hectare private forest land. Explore and commune with nature while having a grand stay at the villa. You can walk and hike to various parts of the land area and or just sit back and relax on the balcony and enjoy the forest view right before your very eyes.
Also, if you wish for a barbeque party, then that’s ultimately possible. There’s an electric barbeque grill just right outside the house where you can do al fresco dining. Enjoying the view and or go swimming while cooking and eating.

The Space

The first floor has a relaxing vibe and design that instantly tells your mind you are in a fantastic place. Comes with 2 sofa sets and large spaces for walking and even running around. It has a majestic view of the lush forest outside as it has glass windows.

The kitchen is well equipped. They even have a collection of glasses that you can use for your drinking. A huge refrigerator is also waiting for you to put your goods in. If you plan to cook, you won’t have problems in this villa as everything you need from knives, utensils, spoon, fork, glasses, to other kitchenwares is available. One thing I love about a well-equipped kitchen is that you don’t have to bring the pans and your other cooking stuff from home!
Upon going up, you’ll find two rooms and a loft. There’s also a huge television at the center where you can definitely watch movies and feel like you are in a theater, just do not forget to bring your movie supply.

The Rooms

The loft was where my friends, Kim and Grace, slept. It’s an open area with clear windows and a nice view of the outside surroundings which is a perfect spot for Instagram shots. Truly relaxing. Good thing that the weather cooperated so they didn’t feel the summer heat. All you’re gonna feel is the cool wind and the chirping of the birds, especially at night.

Since there were two bedrooms, Jane and I occupied the master’s bedroom. It has a king-sized bed fronting a majestic view of the forest and facing the balcony. It also has a sofa that can be turned into a bed, and a large wardrobe/cabinet with mirror doors. The room also has its own bathroom. The aesthetics of the room are pleasing and relaxing, making the staycation grand. We thoroughly enjoyed every detail in this room.
Adjacent to the master’s bedroom is a guest room where up to four people can occupy. It has 2 double beds, a nice closet, and a beautifully decorated interiors.

Villa Elisha, Antipolo - https://twobudgettravelers.com
Villa Elisha – Pool Area

Beside the pool area is also a room basically that is good for four people. It fronts the swimming pool area so if you want to take a quick dip, you just open the door, go out of your room, then jump into the pool! This area also has a division that acts as a mini bar.
The infinity pool is one of the highlights in Villa Elisha. An excellent location for your Instagram photos. The infinity pool is only five feet deep with navy blue colored tiles. It faces the forest and that makes it a great spot for photo shoots. Imagine enjoying a glass of wine beside the pool. Ah! That’s a total yes and we love this particular spot!

Guests of Villa Elisha also have access to the facilities of Phillip’s Sanctuary that includes the:

Swimming Pool – there are two public pools in Phillip’s Sanctuary.
Obstacle Courses – there are two courses. Inform the caretaker if you want to avail of the obstacle course package.
Fishing Lagoon – the fishes you will catch will be cooked if you want to.
Hanging Bridge
Trails for biking and hiking
Picnic Areas
Children’s Playground
Chapel
Zipline – Extra fees apply.
Videoke – Extra fees apply.

The Life Extension Health and Wellness Center in Quezon City Experience

There are times in our life that we need to have the relaxation that we need but we could not do it because of certain reasons we make up for ourselves. We sometimes say that we have no time, but we often spend it on gimmicks and parties. We also sometimes say that we will eat healthy food and do exercise but our mind and body tells us that what is not good is what we need causing us not to make a healthy lifestyle and eat unhealthy snacks.
Almost 90% of people living in this world are affected by stress. Stressed caused by work or everyday commute especially for the fast paved system we have at this current time of the century. These stresses trigger toxins that are harmful to our health and often leads to certain diseases or even death. In order to fight these toxins entering our body, we need to have a proper diet, exercise and relax our mind.

The Life Extension Health and Wellness Center

the-life-extension-experience-health-and-wellness-center-in-quezon-city
On our quest to healthy living even at a young age, we managed to find a place where healthy living is a lifestyle. Located in the heart of Quezon City, lies a health and wellness center, The Life Extension. We tried their most suitable services for our age.

  1. Bio Clarity Therapy
  2. Diathermy Therapy
  3. Thermal Mineral Phototherapy

Their services are appropriate for all ages but are most effective with people age 20 and above as this is the stage where we enjoy life to the fullest, do most of our vices, and abuse our body to the max.

Bio Clarity Therapy

Bio Clarity therapy could be compared to having a sauna at a spa or a hot spring resort. However, the procedure is quite different.
the-life-extension-experience-health-and-wellness-center-in-quezon-city
In Bio-clarity treatment, the body is exposed to hot steam with herbal oils that help with perspiration resulting in detoxification of harmful bodily fluids. This procedure helps the body to regulate blood flow and circulation. Thus, releases stress hormones thru sweating and makes skin soft and subtle afterward.
You’ll find yourself sweating a lot while your body is inside the equipment. Some find this treatment uncomfortable because of the heat of the steam but is definitely tolerable. Don’t worry if you are sweating a lot as the toxins are released thru your perspiration revealing a healthier you when the procedure is finished.

This is good for people who are stressed about work especially when they are working odd-hours (graveyard shift) or those who have no time to exercise and are unconsciously gaining excessive fats. A 15-30 mins session is equivalent to 2-3 hours of exercise without the hassle of running, jumping, and lifting. If you think you have no time to go outside and run or exercise, this is the perfect treatment for you.
This is also best for people who want to be slimmer. The sweat released from your body indicates that the fats and cholesterol have been burned even by just seating in the bio-clarity equipment. Find time for consultation to work out what’s the best schedule for your body needs.

The first session lasts for 15 mins, while if you are on the second and onwards session, you will have to spend time about 15 mins to 30 mins per session to secure good results.
Bio Clarity Therapy treatment costs ₱750 (regular rate) and ₱500 (member-rate). On how to become a member, see the end of the post.

Diathermy Therapy

the-life-extension-experience-health-and-wellness-center-in-quezon-city
Diathermy Therapy uses a heated wand as if you are being ironed like a cloth. Nothing to worry about as the heat is tolerable, meaning, not too hot and very safe when in contact with skin. Sometimes you might feel a little sting but that’s how you know the treatment is working.
This treatment helps relieve body aches and sore muscles. 15 minutes into the treatment and you will be relieved of muscle aches. A massage will be stipulated after the session. Each session lasts 15 minutes.

They will ask you about what part of your body is not feeling okay and they will focus on that to help with healing. I asked them that my nape area or upper body needs fixing as I always wear heavy backpacks from traveling and it makes my upper back scream with pain mostly due to fatigue.
Diathermy Therapy treatment costs ₱750 (regular rate) and ₱500 (member-only rate).

Thermal Mineral Phototherapy

the-life-extension-experience-health-and-wellness-center-in-quezon-city
The Thermal Mineral Phototherapy uses a heated infrared device with minerals to help with skin and bone density structure. This is comparable to having a 30 mins sunlight exposure but with additional benefits and without the burning of the skin and the treatment also lasts for 15 mins only.
A machine that emits beneficial heated infrared light with mineral is focused on your upper back. You might feel a little warm where the machine is focused but the heat is tolerable. They always ask you if the heat is not tolerable anyway so you have to be honest to avoid injuries.

This treatment also helps relieve sore muscles and body aches and comes after Diathermy Therapy.
After all the treatment I proceeded with The Life Extension, it was like magic that I felt lighter and stress-free. It was really amazing! I felt relieved of any pains and muscle sores and I feel so rejuvenated. Even though I am not allowed to shower for the night, my body was feeling better.
Thermal Mineral Phototherapy treatment costs ₱750 (regular rate) and ₱500 (member-only rate).

How to Become a Member of The Life Extension Health and Wellness Center? How much?

It was one of the questions that easily comes to mind when you avail their services. The good news is, The Life Extension membership is only P 1,000 and you become a member for a lifetime.
When you are a member of The Life Extension, you will be able to spend less as the services fee for all the treatment becomes lower. However, the membership is good only for one person and is not transferable. So if you want to have your mom or dad avail of the services for less, you have to make them a member of The Life Extension. A one-time payment of P 1,000 makes all the difference.
Here are The Life Extension services rates:

Additional Comments and Personal Experience

We’ve heard several issues about the staff of The Life Extension that some of them are not ‘welcoming’ or that they lack customer service training. However, based on my experience going a Monday late noon, the staffs were attentive and basically in good mood. Maybe it was because the influx of patients is not that heavy unlike when you visit on a weekend where it is busier because there are more patients.
While in the Bio Clarity treatment, I kept on asking questions about the benefits of the treatment and some about the work environment. The therapist who was assigned to us, Mary, was bubbly enough and was really ready to answer patient’s questions. She was even telling some stories about how the treatment for other patients does. I keep on asking questions because I know that my body is dripping in perspiration and I need something to divert my attention to.
After Mary checked on us, it was Jaycee who entertained our questions and was also ready to answer patient inquiries. Myla, who did our Diathermy Therapy and Thermal Mineral Phototherapy was also keen enough to answer questions and are attentive if the heat in the wand and the thermal machine was tolerable.

Feeling Fresh after the sessions

Maybe we also just need to put ourselves in their shoe so that we understand they are also prone to stress working with patients.
For the best experience, I highly suggest going on a weekday.
For areas to improve, I hope they will have a better appointment system so they could control who goes in and out of the wellness center to avoid issues especially with over accommodation of patients.
To sum our visit, we had a good experience at The Life Extension on a Monday late noon.

The Junction House Bali: A Must Visit Restaurant When in Bali

We seriously had a great time when we were in Bali. Our itinerary was just so relaxed that we didn’t have to spend so much energy and just sleep when we got home. We even had time to swim for a longer time and spend so much time together as if we were on a honeymoon. But nevertheless, our time in Bali was because of the places we visited as well and the people who we were able to interact with.

Aside from astonishing temples and beaches in Bali, this place is also a haven for the best places to eat as cuisines from different cultures have emerged on this island. There also have been a lot of restaurants who became famous in the area not only because of the food but also because of how picturesque their place was, and one of them was The Junction House.

The Junction House

the-junction-house-bali-a-must-visit-when-in-bali
The Junction House Bali is located in Seminyak and was just a quick 8-mins motorbike ride from our villa. We were staying in Villa Palma near Echo Beach. If you’re ever in Seminyak, you got to head to The Junction House. Good food, great decor and, really fantastic service!
the-junction-house-bali-a-must-visit-when-in-bali
This restaurant, The Junction House, is inspired by a Haussmann Parisian house. You could experience dining in a different part of a house, either it’s an office, a kitchen, in the living room, bedroom, or patio. Each of the dining areas is set up to be a part of a house so it gives you a homey ambiance like you are eating at the comfort of your own home.

Downstairs is a cozy pop in for coffee while upstairs is a classy restaurant feel. Our favorite part of the restaurant was the Patio and the bedroom (if that’s what it’s called) on the second floor, but if you want to spend long hours, I don’t recommend the patio as it could get hot even with air conditioning.

The Instagramable Library Masterpiece

They also have an Instagramable library masterpiece build up from the first floor to the second floor and its what attracts the customers too as you can take your beautiful photos in this part of the restaurant.

You can even use the ladder to glide to the other side of the shelf but remember to be careful because you could go down when you don’t have a proper grip.

The Food Experience

Since we are new to the place, we ordered mostly the bestsellers on the menu. The prices are reasonable so you definitely could spend a good amount in the restaurant without breaking the bank.

There also are quite a lot of choices, from traditional Balinese food to Thai and even Western dishes, the food they serve is quite diverse. The best thing about the restaurant too is how presentable the dishes are. They garnish every meal and serve it with love and care.
The coffee we ordered was good and it looks really presentable with “Bali vibes” coffee art in it.
We also got to take pictures before our lunch was served.

We ordered and enjoyed the following:

Steak Frites

I think we stayed there for like a good two (2) hours because it was really hot outside and we want to pass with the heat. We took some photos as well of the area as we really enjoyed the aesthetics of the restaurant. The staff were also all smiles and welcoming during our visit. Their manager even went to our table to check if everything’s alright and if we need anything, a good gesture from a manager for sure.

If we are to go back to Bali, we’ll surely make time to visit this Instagramable cafe in Seminyak!

Not only will it help flatten the curve, but it will also help you cherish the intimate time you have with your partner. Plus, it gives you a head start on creating restaurant-quality meals that you’ve always dreamed of making.

If you have been meaning to improve your kitchen skills, why not do it with your significant other with the help of couples cooking apps? This way, you can still learn something new even while you’re stuck inside. Below are a few cooking apps you can check out

Couples Cooking Apps Worth Checking

NYT Cooking

At the top of this list is, of course, is no other than the New York Times Cooking app. Available for download on both Android and iOS devices, the NYT Cooking program provides a wealth of recipes designed to jazz up your date nights. Take it up a notch and master these creations with your partner.

Some of the recipes you can whip up in just 30 minutes are the blue-cheese steak and an endive salad for two, potatoes au gratin, and even a sweet ending with chocolate lava cake. This app will certainly bring you back to memories of when you just started dating.

Allrecipes Dinner Spinner

Another app that’s worthy of your time and attention is Allrecipes Dinner Spinner. If you’re working from home and have had a long day of Zoom meetings, chances are you’re looking for a quick and delicious meal that will take all of your worries and stress away.

Though it’s technically not a dedicated software for couples, YouTube is certainly an app that provides users access to a wealth of cooking shows and channels. The latest craze, perhaps, for almost the whole Internet is Bon Appetit and its Test Kitchen chefs.
