L.A. Tower Hotel, Bangkok Review: Value for Money and Comfort

If you have followed or read our backpacking trip to four countries in 10 days, then you might have known that we had our Thailand accommodation for only 750 pesos ($15) a night! Yes! For the price, it’s very relatively cheap packed with comfort and class. And here’s our review.

>Book L.A. Tower Hotel<

TIP: Before heading to any country, make sure you already have an advanced hotel booking so your travel plan will be seamlessly smooth. Download a book hotels app to make sure you are booking rooms on the go.

L.A. Tower Hotel Review

L.A. Tower Hotel is located in Ratchadapisek, an area in Bangkok. It is a condominium with a few rooms turned into hotel accommodation. The rooms are always clean, the restaurant below is great. The building is a little bit older but nice. The rooms are big and can catch a breeze from the balcony. This place is also very quiet, with no traffic to listen to.
Our 750 pesos ($15) / night accommodation came with a swimming pool on the fifth floor, a king-sized bed, Wi-Fi, hot shower, mini-fridge, tv set, air conditioner, and a few more. They also offer free parking.
What’s best with our accommodation was that the staff were willing to help you with anything you need. Plus, you have access to the pool anytime from 7am to 10pm, and at a 750 rate per night, it’s very rare to see accommodations with a swimming pool (it’s a huge plus for us!). We stayed for two nights in total.
At the ground floor, there’s also a bar and restaurant, a grocery store, and a laundry shop. So you don’t have to worry about food and drinks.

Establishments Outside L.A. Tower Hotel

A few mins walk away from the hotel are grocery shops, the market where you could buy a different variety of Thai foods, McDonald’s (yes, I bought some meal there!), coffee shops, and other fast food establishments.
A 15 minute walk away is the Sutthisan Station (MRT) that could take you back to Hua Lamphong to explore more of the city, Bangkok, or make a short visit to Chatuchak Market.
The Wifi, however, costs 50 baht good for 24 hours. I only availed this once as I have bought a SIM Card at the airport. I used my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro phone for that. I recommend you buying a Thai Sim Card, it’ll help you get by on data connection for a week or more.

Staffs were amazing

The staffs here are willing to accommodate and help you anytime. We arrived 2 hours late from our check-in time which was supposed to be 2pm. Why did I say they were amazing? It’s because I lost my GoPro and they did all they can to help me. I asked them to call the train station and the train terminal to other provinces. Unfortunately, nobody has reported a found GoPro at any of the stations yet so I have to trace all my tracks. It should actually be out of their business but they did what they can especially with the language barrier.
I went back to the MRT stations we’ve been (Sutthisan and Hua Lamphong). Asked the operators in each station and even looked around. But my GoPro was nowhere to be found. I went back to where I purchased our tickets to Padang Besar, Malaysia, the Bangkok Railway Station. Luckily, my GoPro was at their keep! I was so happy they kept it! Apparently, after inquiring about tickets, I forgot that I placed my GoPro on the counter and forgot to take it with me. I actually just noticed that I was not holding any GoPro when we were near the hotel. Anyway, this is such a short story I will always be grateful for.

 >Book L.A. Tower Hotel<

PS: Most of our photos and videos in Thailand got corrupted. The bedroom photo here, however, was the same bed and setup.
Here’s a short video of the pool side. Our room was on the 7th floor.

It’s truly a value for money and comfort accommodation. We had a pleasant stay at L.A. Tower Hotel. If ever you would come to Thailand and visit Bangkok, I recommend staying here especially if you wanna go shopping at Chatuchak Weekend Market.

Traveling and Dating in the New World

Traveling and Dating in the New World

Travel has its own new form of ins and outs. People are not only aligned to looking for experiences and memories on the places but also on the people who they met along the way while traveling. Some have it good and some have it bad. Traveling and dating come close especially when you are alone and in constant seeking for companionship.
Some people couldn’t find the companionship they long for in the ground where they grew up, where they call home. What happens next is they go to places far from where they used to be to seek for another person with a different interest and life perspective, whilst trying to enjoy what nature and the destination has to offer. It’s not a new thing, traveling and dating, but now is just an upgraded version of what dating appears to have been from the old time.
traveling-and-dating-in-the-new-world

Dating Apps and Traveling

Nowadays, there are a number of dating apps that are being used by travelers who still haven’t found the person who could bring them the spark they are looking for. It is easily accessible by anyone even those who are already in a relationship. There’s also the number of sex dating site you can try online aside from the apps. Just one registration and you are off to dating anyone you would like.
In this generation, you would easily know when someone is not just that into you. Take a look at their phone and see if they still have these ‘dating apps’. If you happen to find one still installed and active, then this person is still on the lookout for someone to share his life with for a long time. That basically means you are not his or her final choice yet.
Traveling can be a great way to find what you are looking for. To find yourself, to find someone who you could spend the rest of life with, to find people who can become one of your best buddies, to find the person who you want to bear your child to but just don’t try to get involved with a marital affair because for a number of reasons you wouldn’t wanna experience.

Traveling with a Purpose

Does it ever occur to you to ask yourself for what purpose are you traveling? Is it because you want to show off t anyone? Is it because you want to push yourself to your boundaries? Is it because you wanted to leave the place you are so used to? Is it because you want to find yourself again from being lost? Is it because you want to find someone you would want to spend the rest of your life with?
traveling-and-dating-in-the-new-world
No matter what the purpose you have for traveling, or what excuse you have to travel, just keep on doing it. If it’s what you love, no one can take it away from you. It’s your right, it’s your prerogative, it’s what you want. Nobody should dictate what you want to do.
Most people just wanted to get away with anything back home. Because being back home haunts you with many responsibilities. The bills, the rent, your toxic friends, and many more you couldn’t fathom to live with every day. Some also are on their gap year and want to live fully before going to a university. Again, traveling is everyone’s choice.

Traveling while Dating and Thinking of the Future

Once one person found another one with the same purpose or their minds have clicked and intertwined, then it’s another time to make another choice. Is this person worth all the travel you made? Is this person worth the distance? Will your relationship work when you are away?
You have already established a friendship and a relationship. You have already established another mindset. It’s time for you to establish another goal and take it as a way to your future. Establish a future that you are not only traveling because you wanted sex with some people for the experience but a future that you will never travel alone now because you have found the person you are looking for.
This person who you have established a relationship with will be the one to look after you, care for you, adore you, and love you for the rest of your life. Traveling with this one person makes every experience complete even when the rest of your itinerary did not go as planned. This one person who changed you will be the last person you would want to see before you sleep, every day. So choose the one you can settle your life with and live and love as if you have never loved before.

Witness The Flying Carnival 2020 in Carmona, Cavite this March!

For over two decades, the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, known as “The Weekend of Everything that Flies,” has been the most highly anticipated and longest-running sports aviation event in Asia. Over the years, it has stayed true to its longtime objectives: to spark interest in aviation; to instill discipline in young pilots; and to impart a spirit of volunteerism to the whole community.

witness-the-flying-carnival-2020-in-carmona-cavite

Continuing to spread this advocacy across the Philippines, the organizers will be launching “The Flying Carnival 2020: A Weekend of Almost Everything that Flies,” a 3-day spectacle of hot air balloons, helicopters, and air sports events, combined with aviation career seminars, fly markets, food booths, and family entertainment! The event will be held at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite on March 6-8, 2020.

Set in a more comfortable viewing space, spectators will be treated to the sight of early morning balloon flights followed by non-stop flying exhibitions – paragliding, skydiving, helicopter demonstrations, RC control line exhibitions, and kite flying.

Visitors can wander through a carnival setting, with food booths and entertainment for the whole family. Aviation souvenirs and unique finds can be bought at the Fly Market, and the weekend evenings will be capped off by a magical hot air balloon nightglow and fireworks display.

Those considering a career in aviation can attend the Aviation Career Seminars to be given by renowned aviators and industry practitioners – Fighter pilots from the Philippine Air Force; Naval Air Group pilots from the Philippine Navy; a female captain from Cebu Pacific Air, and Air Traffic Controller from the Air Traffic Service. They will be joined by FAI World Record holder from Spain, Michel Gordillo; Hot Air Balloon pilot from the United Kingdom, Pete Bish; and Capt. Joy Roa of Asian Air Safari. The seminars will be available to Business Class ticket holders. Seminar attendees will be given a certificate of completion and can enjoy meals and gain admission to the event.witness-the-flying-carnival-2020-in-carmona-cavite

Those who wish to experience the carnival in comfort can opt to get the First Class Ticket, which allows an all-access pass to the event, including meals, private viewing areas, and access to the aviation seminars and air-conditioned bazaar.

The event is co-presented by Okada Manila, the country’s ultra-luxury integrated resort, and Rewards Circle. For tickets and other information, visit www.philballoonfest.net or stay up-to-date with event info by following @PIHABF on Facebook, and @philballoonfest on Instagram.

The stars aligned in one very specific way to create you and if you want to know more you can use  Café Astrology to understand your star sign. Whether you’re uncertain about your future or want to understand yourself a bit more, astrology can be a good place to start.

From questions on love, individuality, or career, horoscopes can provide you the insight and entertainment you need. If you’re one among those who tend to consult the stars for guidance amid confusion and uncertainty, chances are you’ve heard of Café Astrology before.

It is a popular platform that offers tons of astrology reports, timely horoscopes, and other tools that relate to how the cosmos affect human affairs.  Whether you’re just curious or a believer in astrology, up next we show you how to use Café Astrology so you can get the most out of it.

What Is Café Astrology?

As mentioned above, Café Astrology works as a popular website focused on providing insights and tools especially designed for people who are fond of astrology. Specifically, through the said site, visitors can access a range of astrology articles, daily horoscopes, compatibility reports, natal charts, reliable love psychic reading website, and more.

Since its humble beginnings, the site has been running under the management of Annie Heese, a student of astrology. Generally, the site was made to accommodate visitors from all walks of life – from the casual browsers, the horoscope newbies, to the experienced astrologers.

How to Determine Your Horoscope Via Café Astrology?

If you’re new to Café Astrology, the first step you must take is to obtain your natal chart. Generally, this refers to the planetary alignments at the exact moment you were born. In other words, this is the snapshot of the universe at the moment you took your first breath.
In astrology, natal charts serve as a map of the soul’s energy and therefore provide a holistic view of a person’s fate and individuality – from his strengths, weaknesses, relationships, to anything that relates to his lifetime.

In the past people often consulted astrologers or referred to astrology books in order to map their natal charts. However, today, thanks to technological advancements, everyone can get their astrology birth chart in only a few seconds.

How To Get Your Natural Chart From Café Astrology

On the home page, the site offers a brief guide on how visitors can start their astrological journey. In a segment titled Where Do I Begin? Café Astrology provided a link to its free natal chart feature (it’s embedded in the text “How to Obtain My Natal Chart”).

To complete your natal chart, the site will ask for the following details: the person’s birth date, year, time, and place. Once you’ve completed the provided form, you will be given a natal chart along with some astrological interpretations.

For further guidance, you can access a list of planets and signs that occupy the natal chart from the upper part of his screen. Among the details you can get include your rising sign, planet signs and houses — and what they could possibly mean.

If you have trouble getting your chart you can email the site at reports@cafeastrology.com with your full birth information.

What If You Don’t Have Birth Time?

In some cases, visitors may face troubles determining the exact time of their birth. In case this happens, you may simply input Time Unknown for your birth time. This will automatically grant you what Astrologers call a Noon Chart.

However, on the downside, you won’t be able to identify your Ascendant sign, and your Moon signs may not be accurate as they would’ve been with the actual time. However, just having your birthdate can reveal a lot in Astrology.

Once the natal chart has been provided, you can start browsing the site for astrology articles that match his natal chart, compatibility reports, as well as personalized horoscopes.

The Bottom Line

Ready to know what lies ahead of you? Whether you simply want to learn something new or are curious about the whole meaning of horoscopes and stars, Café Astrology can shed a light on a whole new world high above.

ROMANTIC BABOY: Unlimited Cheesy Samgyupsal and Korean BBQ for ₱499!

We had this lovely chance of getting served by an unlimited Korean barbeque restaurant, Romantic Baboy, located in Tomas Morato, Quezon City thru the help of our friend Milet. This restaurant has been making rounds online because of their notable cheesy samgyupsal which adds a brilliant flavor to your grilled meat.

Romantic Baboy Experience (and Review)

Please do note that when you get to this place, bring a lot of patience. Why should you? There is no table reservation on this restaurant so whoever gets here first, gets served. And when the tables are all occupied, you’ll get a number that permits you to occupy the next table available.
Here’s a little catch: If your number has been called and you have not attended to their call, your number will be skipped over and you will need to acquire a new number again, getting you to the last slot and you will have to go waiting again. You can’t argue, it’s their policy. It’s annoying but you just have to get over with it. Either go and eat somewhere else or wait until your number gets called.

Their reservation system is what I think will always have the lowest rating but their service and food are always rated the best. Maybe that’s why people are hyped to go this restaurant, you’re gonna be really hungry first before getting to eat and experience the real deal.
What I suggest: They take a representative’s (customer) phone number and ring them when a table is available.

Unlimited Korean Grill and Barbeque Experience for ₱499

We seriously hated the waiting time but what we loved about Romantic Baboy is that they have lots of choices (eight to be exact) for samgyupsal or different meat slices and 6 unlimited side dishes. Here they are:
ROMANTIC BABOY: Unlimited Cheesy Samgyupsal and Korean BBQ for ₱499! - https://twobudgettravelers.com

8 Types of Meat (order by letter)

1. HeRb Samgyupsal
2. WOo Samgyup
3. Moksal
4. DAepae Samgyupsal
5. YaNgyumGalbi
6. RomanTic Bulgogi
7. SpIcy Beef
8. Curry Beef

6 Types of Unlimited Side Dish

1. Japchae
2. Coleslaw
3. Kimchi
4. Chicken
5. Stir Fried Fish Cakes
6. Scallion Salad
and the standard in every Unlimited Korean restaurant; Lettuce leaves, Rice, and gochujang jjigae (Soup).
On the grill area has 3 slots especially for the cheese, the egg, and the kimchi.
Notice the fonts in red? That’s what makes it ROMANTIC.

I think we tried almost all types of beef. My personal favorite is the Romantic Bulgogi and Spicy Beef. These meats, when added with cheese, makes it really flavorful. This was the reason why people are okay to wait for more than 2 hours just to get a table.
Daepae Samgyupsal is extra special as it will look like bacon when cooked because it’s a thinly sliced meat. If you are extra hungry, order this right away as it will only take a few minutes to cook. Do not forget to dip it in the cheese, and the sauces.

ROMANTIC BABOY: Unlimited Cheesy Samgyupsal and Korean BBQ for ₱499! - https://twobudgettravelers.com

Eating Tip: I’ve always been doing this and I know you are too. Lay the lettuce on your plate. Add the samgyupsal, salt, Korean sauce, Kimchi, and any side dishes you want on the lettuce, this time with cheese. Fold and wrap the meat and side dishes with the lettuce and put it in your mouth, whole! You’re gonna taste everything in that one big wrap of a treat.

Order and Service Experience

Romantic Baboy is always going above and beyond the service standards. Sometimes, you don’t really need to ask for an additional order of meat as they will be the one to approach you of what you would want to order if they see your table almost empty and finished.
The place also looks clean and neat. Definitely another plus to their service. They always keep the area clean even when people are coming in and going out every single time.
As for the staff, as far as I have experienced, they are always willing to help and assist you and won’t look at you like you have ordered too much. Their food concept is unlimited and that’s good that they are not looking like you’re being judged as a glutton. They also are attentive and ready to replace the grill at any time.

What to Expect:

1. If you are not coming early, do expect for a long waiting list. Bring patience along to keep you waiting for 2 to 3 hours.
2. Prepare to be smelling like smoke or grill after eating. There’s not enough ventilation to keep yourself from the smell of smoke lingering to your clothes and skin.
3. They don’t have a cool waiting area, so if you’re going to wait for hours in the hot weather, bring a fan or an extra shirt (lol).
4. No service charge! So what you see (₱499) is what you’re gonna pay. No more, no less.
5. Prepare your taste buds. Their meats are really tasty plus with the cheese.
6. You can stay for as long as you want. I’m just not sure if somebody stayed from lunch until dinner.

Romantic Baboy Quezon City Address:

CKB Centre, Tomas Morato Avenue Corner Scout Rallos Street, Laging Handa, Quezon City

WHERE TO STAY IN QUEZON CITY

So if you are that kind of person who loves to try out new tastes and a different kind of experience (waiting 1-3 hours for food) then this place totally deserves you! With their cheesy samgyupsal, different types of meat, unlimited servings and attentive staff, I’m sure this is going to be your new favorite place to eat UNLIMITED SAMGYUPSAL!

Siargao Travel Guide: Magpupungko Rock Pools and Maasin River Tour + Coconut Road

One of the many things we are looking forward to experiencing is the famous Magpupungko Rock Pools (or Magpupungko Tidal Flats) located in Siargao. This place is known for its natural rock pools that nature has created. During low tide, the rock pools are visible and one can easily go and swim towards the natural pool. High tide basically means that the rock pools are drowned in saltwater.
Of all the many things we are looking forward, there’s also that’s been recently added to the list, the Maasin River. Maasin River is named after the taste of its own water like it’s been salted (salt is “asin” in Filipino terms), hence the name Maasin (salty) River.

Magpupungko Rock Pools

People could go to Magpupungko Rock Pools via DIY (Do It Yourself) or thru a travel agency. We did the latter for we are more than 10 in the group with GotMarked Tours. This tour comes with a visit to Sugba Lagoon, Kawhagan Sandbar (Kawhagan Island), and Coconut Road.

So we went to Magpupungko Rock Pools after our Sugba Lagoon trip. We arrived at around 1 PM and with our guide, Karl, we first went off to the carinderias (eatery). Food costs around Php 50 to Php 100 each with generous serving. For Jane and I, we spent a total of Php 190 for our food. (Don’t worry about the food though if you are on an agency tour, your lunch is included in your payment).
After having a sumptuous lunch, we then took off to go to the rock pools.

There were a lot of people during our visit. The rock pools are also huge, which became a surprise for me. I didn’t expect that these rocks pools are wide and large. It was just like in the photos, vivid, calm, and radiant. We both were excited to dip in, but as bloggers, we have to take photos first before enjoying a thing.
Jane dipped into the nearest rock pool we could find, with at least lesser people. It’s also getting dark as the clouds were not in total favor during our visit, but we managed to make every experience better. I took pictures of her on these natural pools.

There also were lifeguards on the area. Not sure if they were hired or are volunteers but nonetheless, it was relieving to see that there are people willing to help in the case when someone’s in need.

The Mini Rock Pools of Magpupungko

There were mini rock pools in this area but we managed to find one that is just a suitable spot to take photos of. At first glance, there were people in it so we took the time to explore other rock pools. When they were gone, I immediately asked Jane to take a position so we could create videos of it and photos, of course.

This one particular spot is the one I think was perfect to describe mini pools in Magpupungko, like a jacuzzi but smaller and made by the natural environment.
Our friends, the Jeepsetters PH team, were on the other side of the rock pools, enjoying the time, swimming and talking about anything. Their smiles were just great, marking the enjoyment they felt at this marvelous creation of nature.

We spent like a worthy two (2) hours in these rock pool paradise, and I actually wished we could spend more time in the area. It was gloomy that day we visited, and I am sure, we will go back to see more of its beauty with a bright sky.

Maasin River

Maasin River has become one of the crowd’s favorite places to go after Instagrammers went to this place to take beautiful shots, curated to thirsty travel enthusiasts.
It’s also a part of the land tours offered by GotMarked Tours.

Supposedly, it should have been after our Magpupungko Rock Pools visit. Unfortunately, due to an accident which happened in front of our eyes at Coconut Road, we opted to postpone the visit. So Mark made arrangements and scheduled the tour after our Corregidor Island + Tri-island tours.
We visited here during an afternoon. There was an entrance fee of Php 20 per person (which is already included in the package so you don’t have to pay for anything). Before you also enter, there will also be t-shirts and other merchandise with a pretty good price.
siargao-travel-guide-magpupungko-rock-pools-and-maasin-river-tour-coconut-road

There are many spots you can go while at Maasin River, but we stayed at two of the most photographed spots. The first one is where a balsa is situated, perfectly added there to be a part of your photos. Its background is where the next spot is. The balsa, though, has a service fee (rather a donation) as it is not part of the entrance fee at the river.
Just a reminder, be careful of the steps in this part of the river. The rocks are a bit sharp and are totally not flat. If you don’t want your device to be submerged in water when you fall, be careful of your steps.

The Coconut Tree Swing

The coconut tree swing is your background when you opt to take a photo at the first spot. It is where the adrenaline junkies fall in line to get a turn in the swing. Of course, being the adventurous person I am, I did not miss the chance.

From our group, only Radd, Anne, and I did the swing dive. What’s surprising though was there weren’t many who would like to try this activity. Only the brave would want to swing and dive in this spot. But this spot here in Maasin River is totally lit and a great experience.
Radd had two or three jumps I think, while Anne and I both had one (if I am not mistaken), but mine was not perfect. I want to do it again but my raptured ears won’t let me. It was actually a risk I’ve taken just so I could experience to dive and swim in the river. After the jumps we had, we all went back to our motorbikes and drove to the nearby Coconut Road to take another set of photos.

Coconut Road

There’s nothing much to say about this spot but this is the most photographed road in Siargao. There is no regulation or guides that will help you with your photos so you have to do it on your own and be cautious about your surroundings, the cars and motorbikes that are running along the highway.
Here’s where we personally witnessed an accident, and this spot has also become an accident-prone area.

  2. For food, if you don’t want to spend a lot of cash on food, you can check out local eateries or carinderias. A decent meal could only cost you around Php 30 to Php 50, unlike well-known restaurants where a single meal could go from Php 80 to Php 500.
  3. Always care for your safety. Check highways left and right before crossing to avoid accidents.
  4. Wear sunblock or sun protection. We recommend Dermplus SPF 130 for sunblock and a rash guard for total sun protection of your skin.

Pulilan, Bulacan Commence Kneeling Carabao Festival 2019

Pulilan, Bulacan Kicks Off Kneeling Carabao Festival 2019

Carabaos kneel in Pulilan, Bulacan every May of each year in celebrating thanksgiving for San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint for bountiful harvests.

This year, the municipality kicks off Kneeling Carabao Festival participated by hundreds of local farmers from 19 barangays. A series of daily and nightly shows are up for everyone from May 5 to May 14 and made even more spectacular with the local chief executive Hon. Maria Rosario Ochoa-Montejo as the Hermana Mayor.
This event staged the implementation of Pulilan’s New Market Positioning strategy which aims to put the town in the list of the newest and most popular tourist destinations in Central Luzon. Nearby municipalities and provinces as far as Nueva Ecija participate in a parade of beautifully decorated “karitons” and colorfully adorned carabaos trained by their owners to kneel in front of the San Isidro Labrador Parish Church as a sign of respect.
Pulilan Fireworks Spectacle marked the start of the celebration on the night of May 5. Entertaining competitions and activities such as Palaro ng Lahi, Chorale, and Cheerdance Competition, Color Fun Run, Lakan at Lakambini Coronation, Kneeling Carabao Grand Parade, and Gabi ng Kabataan filled up the calendar from May 6 to May 12.  Novenario Mass, on the other hand, commenced every 6 PM. The celebration wrapped up with a Street Dance Competition and Feedmix Variety Show on the night of May 14.
Pulileños are known for being gaudy when it comes to important occasions. That may be one of the reasons why this festival is much anticipated by people from various places and has gained recognition from the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) in recent years.

Pulilan Carabao Festival in Pulilan, Bulacan

Honoring a saint is one of the principal reasons why Filipinos celebrate numerous fiestas. This is the reason why the people in Pulilan, Bulacan never fail to commemorate and pay tribute to San Isidro Labrador, who is the patron saint of farmers. Although the festival officially begins on May 15 every year, there are traditions which the locals need to observe prior to this day. For 24 days, they must perform the Paseo or the procession of the image of San Isidro to the different barangays/chapels within the municipality. Also, they ought to complete the Novena for nine consecutive days. Kneeling Carabao Festival 2019
pulilan-bulacan-commence-kneeling-carabao-festival-2019
Based on historical records, many years ago, individuals are identified not by their given surnames but by the work they perform. Such is the case of San Isidro, whose occupation was that of a Labrador or a laborer. He was a hired hand on a farm and had no personal land to till. His landlord was amazed that San Isidro was capable of completing his assigned task despite his coming late to work most of the time. Prompted by his curiosity, the landlord investigated and saw that the person plowing the field was an angel. In awe, he knelt before San Isidro. From then on, the image of a kneeling man will be associated with this patron saint.
Carabaos play a vital role during this occasion. They are the creatures responsible for assisting the farmers in doing their jobs. One of the most astonishing sights to see during the celebration of this festival happens on the morning of May 14. The carabaos are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the parade. During the march, the carabaos are trained by their owners to kneel in front of the church as they pass it one by one. A priest is there to bless each one of the creatures as they pay homage to their patron saint. On the 15th, a street dance competition is held as part of the festivity.
