NINJAVAN & SHOPEE SCAM? | REROUTING ITEM FOR SHIPPING DISCREPANCY & STEALING A PART OF ITEM IN PARCEL

We never thought we’d experience this in our lifetime of selling things online via Shopee App as a seller. This dilemma has been brought about by Ninja Van, a courier with lots of complaints in error handling parcels and some untrusty delivery staff.
FULL POST: https://www.facebook.com/thejerny/posts/1718557388291965
SHOUTOUT SA NINJAVAN COURIER and Shopee Shopee Philippines NA NAGNANAKAW NG ITEM AT PERA. Here are the photos of proofs and conversations of the buyer, kung gaano kawalang kwenta ang NINJAVAN at SHOPEE customer service. I’m a seller and here’s what happened.

Napaka sinungaling! Ayan sabi ng customer hindi sila natawagan ng NINJAVAN!

Made up delivery comments. They did not call the customer.

Mentioned that customer wishes to cancel order, but when we talked about it with the customer, NINJAVAN has not contacted them. They just decided to cancel.

1st issue – STEALING PRODUCTS

May 18 inorder ng buyer yung parcel. Hindi nya nakuha dahil hindi daw siya tinawagan ng Ninjavan. So ending RTS (Return to Sender/Seller, in short ako/sakin) ang ngyare. Inabot ng ISANG BUWAN bago nabalik samin yung parcel.

Item before courier pick-up (before shipment to customer)

Without caps na!
After photo. Pagka return ng parcel saminl!
Item after the parcel/shipment has been returned. No caps included and top plastic area was forced open.

Walang ibang kukuha nun.   Meaning, binutasan nila, pinilit sirain at tanggalin yung mga takip. And yes ninakaw nila yung DALAWANG TAKIP ng mga gallon! So paano namin mabebenta ulit ngayon to?

2ND ISSUE – STEALING MONEY

– round gallon again and my item price is 142 pesos. Sellers knows may patong ng konti because kung magka shipping discrepancy ay may tubo pading kikitain. So ang ngyare si buyer is from Makati lang.
And the product is from Manila lang manggagaling. One gallon lang yung order. Supposedly ilang days lang dapat makakarating na ung item. Pero inabot ng 2weeks bago nareceive ni buyer. Tapos ang binalik na income samin ni Shopee 69.00 nalang??!

69 pesos nalang binalik!!! [69 pesos income for 1 round gallon worth 142 each lol)
When I checked the shipping information, nag enroute si Ninjavan sa Laguna (see pics below). Anong ngyare?

Same courier but different buyers. Pero ito lang talaga nagka issue at half of the income yung ninakaw nila! May bawas na nga fees and charges for shopee tapos nanakawan pa nila. We know it’s just 69 pesos only. But it’s so unfair dahil HALF ng income mo yung binawas nila. We are also people working decently and every penny counts, especially this season of crisis! NAGHIHIRAP NA DIN BA KAYO?! lol
Proof na okay shipment naman sa ibang buyer for the same item within Manila/NCR.

So we called and emailed Ninjavan and Shopee for these issues. We waited and was being patient with them but it took a MONTH now and still no chance to resolve the issue.
Meron pa one time BINABAAN kami ng customer service na live chat nila. Mga BASTOS! They just keep on finding excuses to cover up their corruption.
Naghahanapbuhay ka ng maayos tapos nanakawan ka lang ng AKALA mong trusted and reliable na shopping app and courier.
Isang malaking CORRUPT po ang SHOPEE and NINJAVAN!! PALPAK ang customer service and Ninjavan as a courier is a big NO. HINDI SILA 100% MAPAGKAKATIWALAAN!!

Paradizoo: A Paradise Garden and a Zoo in Tagaytay

To those who have been to Tagaytay, you might have heard of the term Paradizoo. Paradizoo is a word-play from the words “paradise” and “zoo”. It’s a 10-hectare theme-park with domesticated and exotic animals, flower gardens, and more. This includes llamas, horses, farm animals where you can get to interact and feed them, cows, goats, etc.
Last November, an event was held in Paradizoo. “Who Let the Dogs Out: A Dog Fashion Show”, an event for the dogs and pet owners. 21 participants joined together with their well-groomed dogs in a different attire, costume, and fashion, with themes, casual, cosplay, and Halloween. You’d be seeing pets in their alluring, if not horrific, attires and costumes together with their owners as they ramp at the stage.
Here are some photos from the recently held event.

[hoops name=”InArticle”]

After the “Who let the Dogs Out” event, we had the chance to explore quite a bit in the area of Paradizoo. There are more than this list. Please check their website for more information.

Flower Garden

The flowers in the garden are not totally rooted on the ground. They could be sold if there is a buyer. How? The plants are all in a pot or a plastic carrier so they can be moved anytime without hurting or uprooting the plants.

Vegetable Garden

Pet Cemetery

There is also a Pet Cemetery located in Paradizoo. Some of the owners who loved their pets truly, buried them here when they died. There were even a birth date and death date for each pet.

Butterfly Garden

Here in Paradizoo also lies a Butterfly Garden. At the time of our visit, there weren’t many butterflies, only a few. But a few is enough to make us happy and delighted. You can take a photo of them close up or even get to hold them at your fingertips for a while.

Paradizoo Cafe

If you get tired of walking through the 10-hectare field, sumptuous treats await at Paradizoo Cafe. You can even buy some of the souvenirs to take home.

How to Get to Paradizoo

By Bus: Ride a bus to Tagaytay City or at Olivarez terminal, then ride any jeepney or bus to Mendez and inform the driver to drop you off to Maglabe Drive, then look for the tricycle terminal and ride to Paradizoo. The fare is P30 per tricycle.
Alternatively, ride bus heading to Nasugbu. Tell the diver to drop you off at Mendez. Ride another jeepney heading to Indang and drop off at Mendez Market or Maglabe Drive. Look for the tricycle terminal (on the left side of the road) and tell the driver to drop you off at Paradizoo. Tricycle costs 30 per way.

Experience Traditional Japan with Tsukimotoya Ryokan

Tsukimotoya Ryokan is an inn with a more traditional feel. Ryokan is a type of traditional Japanese inn that originated in the Edo period. We came here after seeing Himeji Castle.

Tsukimotoya Ryokan - www.twobudgettravelers.com

We had a little hard time locating the inn because although Kinosaki is a small town, it comprises of many streets and houses, plus the challenge was doubled because we arrived at night. Tsukimotoya Ryokan, if my memory serves me right, is located after 5 or 6 more streets to the left after the bridge, crossing from Family Mart plus it was already evening and there weren’t many people roaming around the town and along the way.

So finally when we have arrived at the inn, it’s like what we are seeing in movies! Oh, a dream come true! Polished wooden floors, yukata sandals, the scent of wood around the place, a very peaceful place to sleep and relax indeed!

Tsukimotoya Ryokan - www.twobudgettravelers.com

Entering the room requires you to slide the wooden door to the right. Inside is a wardrobe, a television, a table, a lamp, and all the other stuff for sleeping. The other part of the room is for the sink and sofa. The rooms will be divided into two, for men and for women, so you will be sleeping separately (not unless you are with your wife/girlfriend, that is a different case). Our rooms were located on the 2nd floor so we share a common bathroom. For the rooms with in-room bathroom, I forgot the details. Sorry. :3

Okasan (we just called her Okasan, because she is an old lady and we could not decipher her name by how she speaks), helped us on preparing our things. She also toured us a little on the facility. Prepared our tea drink for the night, explained our access passes and how to go around town’s famous hot spring spots and lastly, demonstrated us how to put on Yukata, the proper way!

She was very bubbly and full of smiles. Though she speaks very little English, we were able to understand what she tried to say by using hand and face gestures on each other. It was a little confusing but was really fun.

4 Historic Places You Can Visit When In Sta. Ana, Manila

After our visit in San Sebastian Church, next on our itinerary was the Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned (Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Los Desamparados), or widely known the Sta. Ana Church.

Historic Places in Sta. An, Manila - www.twobudgettravelers.com

1. Sta. Ana Church

Sta. Ana Church is located in Sta. Ana, Manila. The only town that wasn’t colonized during the Spaniard’s regime. The first church was created in 1578 and was only made of bamboo and wood. The present church was constructed from 1720 – 1725, made up of baroque architectural style utilizing adobe blocks as its wall finish. The church is now going to its 300 years of existence.

Historic Places in Sta. An, Manila - www.twobudgettravelers.com

Historic Places in Sta. An, Manila - www.twobudgettravelers.com

Upon entry on the right, at the base of the bell tower, is the Baptistery. Inside the small room contains the marble baptismal font and a Neoclassical retablo featuring the painting of the Baptism of Christ, framed by two Corinthian columns on each side.

The main altarpiece or the retablo is in churrigueresque style, according to the community guide. The tabernacle or sagrario occupied the central niche at the lower level and is flanked by Franciscan Saints. The central part of the second or main level is occupied by Our Lady of the Abandoned which came from Spain. At the top of the retablo is the image of Saint Michael the Archangel.

Camarin de la Virgen

Thru Fundacion Santiago, we were able to witness history and learn more about the church via their community guides. In Sta. Ana Church, two of the National Cultural Treasures were declared by the National Museum of the Philippines. One is the Santa Ana Site Museum located in the convent patio, and another one is the Camarin de la Virgen or most known as Dressing Room of the Virgin.

The Camarín de la Virgen is a chapel room located at the second level of the retablo where the image of Our Lady of the Abandoned is placed. Very notable in this structure are the paintings on the ceiling and on the entrance, which are believed to be as old as the Camarín and the church itself. The ceiling paintings contained an image of Heaven at the center surrounded by eleven segments of the painting depicting scenes from the lives of Mary and Jesus, from Mary’s betrothal to Joseph to the Baptism of Jesus. The central painting of Heaven portrays the Holy Trinity and the kneeling Virgin Mary, with cherubs and angels on both sides. After staying and praying for a while, you’d feel refreshed and anew.

Santa Ana Site Museum

In 1966, archaeological excavations have been conducted by the National Museum of the Philippines on the patio and the churchyard, uncovering 71 human burials dating around late 11th to 14th centuries from the associated Chinese ceramics recovered with the graves. The ceramics recovered were dated around more than 500 years of age and according to the archaeologists, each one costs more than $5000 dollars. Thus, declaring the site as a cultural treasure.

2. Pozo de la Virgen

Historic Places in Sta. An, Manila - www.twobudgettravelers.com

Located at the back of the Santa Ana Church is the Pozo de la Virgen (Well of the Virgin). It is believed to have contained healing powers. The water coming in from the well is unknown, it may have been a spring, but people and residents are referring it as an extension of the Pasig River. During the typhoid epidemic, the well was closed to the public due to sanitary concerns and was reopened in 2011 after 92 years of being hidden from the public. For now, the water is safe but it’s not advisable that you drink from it.

3. Taoist Temple

Historic Places in Sta. An, Manila - www.twobudgettravelers.com

The Taoist Temple is just across the street from the Pozo de la Virgen behind the Sta. Ana Church. It is an old Taoist temple dedicated to Pao Ong Hu. The temple is divided into two chapel rooms. The left chapel is dedicated to the Our Lady of the Abandoned while the right chapel is dedicated primarily to Pao Ong Hu. Aside from the Chinese saints, also venerated within the Pao Ong Hu chapel are other Taoist deities and the images of Santo Niño (Child Jesus) and Our Lady of Antipolo (Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buenviaje).

4. Santos Ancestral House

One of the many heritage houses in Sta. Ana is the Amparo-Santos Ancestral House. It was built around 1931-1932. The original owners of the house were Amparo Lucero, who became Miss Cebu in 1907, and Valentin Santos Sr., who was the first Filipino manager of Manila Electric Company. Jon Santos, a Filipino comedian, impersonator, and entertainer, is related to the Santos family who owns the house.

This tour was made possible by Fundacion Santiago. Book your heritage tour for San Sebastian Church and Sta. Ana Church – A Tale of Two Churches by contacting them via their facebook page or website. Let’s help build heritage tourism and revisit history!

Sol 721 at Coron Soleil: A Must Visit Restaurant in Coron

Coron definitely has the best islands and beaches to package. No wonder why Palawan is named the best island in the world. Together with the title, we can say that Coron is also a haven for foodies and cashew lovers.
In the town of Coron, just a little walk and you’d find the restaurants fitted for your budget and taste. But did you know that there’s one restaurant that stands out from this crowd of restaurants? It’s located within the Coron Soleil Garden Resort and named Sol 721.

Sol 721 at Coron Soleil

Sol 721 at Coron Soleil’s name was derived from the number of steps required to reach Mt. Tapyas’ summit. It would take you a total of 721 steps (official count from the authorities). Mt. Tapyas is the highest point in Coron town and reaching the summit will give you a 360 degrees view of the vicinity.
If you are looking for a restaurant with a nice ambience, great food, and most of all, affordable, I must recommend Sol 721. Not only their cuisines are delectable, the staff was all accommodating to your needs as well. The restaurant can be very busy at peak hours but chill at most times. The delicacies are also freshly cooked so you can be assured that your food will be as hot as the Maquinit Hot Springs when you tasted them.

[hoops name=”InArticle”]
Talking about the interiors of the place, Sol 721 can be compared to most fine dining restaurants in Manila. A calming music sets your mood just right before you start munching on your food. The lights were set to calm your eyes for everything. The design of the place was greatly complemented by wooden tables and chairs that aren’t dull, and a few shelves with a minimalist approach which is well-composed with things related to the town. Every space in the area was given its own use.
Outdoors the restaurant is the bar and the infinity pool of Coron Soleil Garden Resort. To which you can choose to drink and view the pool when the lights are on inviting you to swim and drink. Mind you, however, that drinking is not allowed while in the pool. It’s really inviting though so you can’t help but only to think about it.
During Fridays to Sundays, the bar has an on-going promo of getting two bottles of beer or a cocktail drink at the price of one. Not only that, there will also be a band singing while you drink or eat. The promo is good from 4 pm to 10 pm, Fridays to Sundays. And you also don’t have to be checked-in to eat and drink at Sol 721.

Things to Note:

a. If you’re checked in at the Coron Soleil Garden Resort, you are entitled to a FREE Buffet breakfast at Sol 721.
b. If you’re checked in at Coron Soleil Express Hotel, you are entitled to a FREE Breakfast at the Express Hotel lobby. However, if you wish to have a buffet breakfast at Sol 721, it is charged at P200.00 ($4) per head.
Here are photos of what we had for breakfast and dinner for two nights.

[hoops name=”InArticle”]

The menu for buffet breakfast changes every day and you are assured that the quality of the dishes are not compromised. The egg omelet is made on the spot per request. Others on the buffet table are self-service. You can have your own Filipino style breakfast, Continental Breakfast, American Breakfast, and many others made by you. The buffet table also serves juices, lemon water, hot coffee or tea, milk and cereals, and a few rice favorites.
At an affordable price, you can have 2-3 dishes with rice and drinks for not more than 1000 pesos. On our first night, we had Roasted Chicken with Mango Salad and Lengua Sevillana paired with a root beer. Lengua Sevillana is more than enough for two people, we haven’t finished all of it.

On our second night, we had the Spicy Buffalo Wings, Stuffed Squid, and Chicken Corn Soup. Since the serving was generous, we weren’t able to finish our meal again. We were already full after eating almost half of both sumptuous dishes.
Sol 721 has this affordability factor and generously served dishes. You’ll be feeling full even when you haven’t really finished eating all of what you ordered yet. They will also be attentive enough to fill your drinks even when you don’t ask for it.
Perfectly paired with a great ambiance and relaxing music, it’s gonna be one of the places to spend a romantic dinner.

Though inadequate, the food was good with regards to taste. They serve Filipino and American style breakfast. All the meals come with a free coffee or tea and complimentary fruits.
crown-royale-hotel-bataan-experience-and-review
One of the dishes was Arroz ala Cubana (220 PHP), it was served without a fried saba, yet they compensated it with an effort giving us a Lakatan banana.
Also, we had their American breakfast (270 PHP) which have bacon, eggs, and bread.
crown-royale-hotel-bataan-experience-and-review
What a good vibe to start our day right. They also have an event center, which caters different kinds of gatherings. May it be a formal event or a reunion.
They also have a KTV room inside the hotel located on the second floor.

Hospitality

crown-royale-hotel-bataan-experience-and-review
We were attended immediately and with polite answers every time we ask questions. Even when the maintenance for their sprinklers system was on-going, they made sure that it will not be a fuss during our stay.

So if you’re looking for an affordable yet comfortable stay in Bataan, Crown Royale Hotel is a must for you. Thank you Crown Royale Hotel for being our home for 3 days during the 77th Commemoration of the Day of Valor.

The quarantine period has bestowed the gift of time to the whole world in abundance. But, with heaps of time on our side, we’re bound to run out of things to work on and that’s when the boredom sets in.
People are renovating themselves completely in this time so why not do the same for your humble abode next? To break out of the quarantine boredom, give your living space a revamp to enliven things up in this gloomy environment.
It’s time to break open a bundle of remodeling ideas for your homes that you’ve been procrastinating due to your busy and fast-paced life. So, let us help you get started with your new home projects with these quirky ideas. Read on to learn more.
Home Remodel Inspiration for Quarantine Boredom

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

Reflective surfaces are always a safe bet as you can place them on any wall, and it’ll blend right in with your décor. For an instant modification, you can either buy a beautiful mirror or you can take the affordable road, by refurbishing an old mirror with a dainty frame.
You can go the extra mile and purchase graphic mirror art pieces which have increasingly become widespread as décor ideas. Lastly, you can go all out and buy a getting table that has a mirror and cabinet space in it.

Let’s Get Painting

Painting is the quickest fix to revamp your house and the best part is all you need is some paint and a brush. So, target a mundane wall in your living room or your bedroom door to brighten up the look of your house and get started on it.
Make sure to use contrasting tints that stand out when painting. So, if your living room is peach-colored then paint that central wall with a pastel mint color for a perfect mix and match. You can also check out Full Renovations Toronto to ask for ideas.

Time For Some Wooden Decor

Wooden décor items have the power to uplift the whole aura of a room as well as give it a vintage touch. So, order yourself a dainty yet minimalistic wooden bookshelf that is easily accessible as well as affordable.
Other than books, you can place some small potted plants and scented candles on the bookshelf to make it more aesthetically pleasing. If you want to go cheap, make a simple one yourself with spare wood.
You can also introduce a wall of wooden frames with photos of cherished memories to give your dull wall a touch-up. If you have some experimental energy in you, paint the wooden frames a shade darker than your background wall and you’re done!

Change Your Window Dressings

You can change the look of a whole room by switching just the curtains to a more graphic and fun color or go for an altogether different pattern. You can mix it up with some different silhouettes or airy fabrics like patterned chiffon to make things lively.
But, if you’re looking for more of a change, you can ditch your curtains for some classic window blinds. This is an interior decorating trick that can make your home stand out, giving it an old-world charm and a vintage vibe.

Introduce Some Lights

Adding some artificial light to your home can literally brighten up the entire vibe of it. You’ll find a plethora of choices you can choose from. You can even pick up some pictorial light lamps which can be placed on the floor next to a table or a door.
Moreover, there are also a number of hanging light installations, like a big chandelier, if you want to go fancy. For a more subtle change, you can go for aesthetic hanging bulbs or lamps.
Home Remodel Inspiration for Quarantine Boredom

The Bottom Line

No matter how accustomed we get with our surroundings, it’s always nice to mix it up once in a while. Doing so fill us with renewed energy and inspiration. And there is no better time to do this then when we are stuck in our homes.
Plus with all this time, remodeling your home is something that all your family members can engage in to make this gloomy time a tad bit entertaining.

Congrats. You’re one of the 99 percent of people in their twenties who are clueless about money. Adulting is difficult, and managing money is much more difficult—especially when you’re on your own and not relying on your parents. My two cents is here to help you understand everything there is to know about finance, business, and entrepreneurship. We’ll go over everything from how to get a company license to how to invest in stocks in order to teach the young adults how to avoid going broke.

The dummy’s guide to money is here. The third lesson is about BIR registration for self-employed people.

Obtaining a business permit is simply one step in the lengthy process that entrepreneurs must go through in order to establish their company. Another key step is to register with the Bureau of Internal Revenue as a self-employed individual (BIR). Although the number of startups and freelancers continues to rise, no one is immune from paying taxes.

Registering as a self-employed person with the BIR establishes a foundation for paying your taxes from professional, entrepreneurial, or freelance employment in a responsible manner. Because self-employed people do not have employees who can handle their government paperwork for them, they must handle their own taxes and forms with the BIR. To cut a long story short, it’s time to brush up on your adulting skills.

And here’s where you should begin:

What does it mean to be a self-employed taxpayer?

A common misperception is that the self-employed workforce consists solely of freelancers. While self-employed professionals include writers, photographers, artists, and other creative types, they also include entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, and company owners who manage their own practice or business.

Individual taxpayers are categorised as either employed by a firm or self-employed, with single proprietorship entrepreneurs or licensed (lawyers, doctors, accountants) or unlicensed (authors, photographers, home-based workers) professionals.

How to Obtain a Business License

What are the conditions for registering with the BIR?

For BIR registration, you’ll need the following documents:

-Birth Certificate from the National Statistics Office

-Any government-issued identification card that shows your birthplace and date of birth.

-Mayor’s Permit

-DTI Business Name Certificate

-Barangay Clearance

-Occupational Tax Receipt or Professional Tax Receipt (for licensed professionals) (for unlicensed professionals)

-Affidavit detailing the rates, invoicing methods, and variables taken into account for setting service prices (as specified in BIR Revenue Regulation 4-2014)

The following forms are required:

BIR Form 1901 – One-Time Taxpayer and Persons Registering Under E.O. 98 Application for Registration (to secure a TIN and be able to transact with any Government Office)

BIR Form 1905 – Application for Update, Correction, or Cancellation of Registration Information

Application for Authority to Print Receipts and Invoices (BIR Form 1906)

BIR Form 0605 – You must include this form with your payment to register with the BIR.

Download the forms here: https://www.bir.gov.ph/index.php/bir-forms.html

How do you go about registering?

1| Complete BIR Forms 1901 and 1905 and send them to your RDO that has jurisdiction over the location of your workplace or home, together with the other criteria (if you work from home).

2| Pay the P500 fee at any recognized bank within the RDO’s jurisdiction, together with BIR Form 0605. The RDO office may also have a payment counter.

3| Go back to the RDO. Pick up your BIR Certificate of Registration and “Ask for a Receipt” Notice after paying the P15 Certification Fee and the P15 Documentary Stamp Tax.

4| At this point, you can apply for your Authority to Print (BIR Form 1906), which will allow you to print official receipts for your freelance/business transactions. A ten-booklet set of ORs costs around P1,200.

5| Finally, register your accounting books and ledgers with the BIR and have them stamped.

As a self-employed individual, mastering BIR registration is only the first step—the next step is learning how to file your own Income Tax Returns as an entrepreneur, professional, or freelancer, but that’s a lesson for another day.
