How Traveling Affects Millennial Minds

No wonder, millennials are the people who are most likely to have wanderlusts, craving for adventures and new experiences. And somehow, these experience affects their perspectives and plans for the future.
How Traveling Affects Millennials' Mind - https://twobudgettravelers.com
According to studies, traveling shows a person the new sides of life! Let’s put it this way, when you travel to other countries, for example, the Philippines, you’ll see how hospitable the people are, and how they are living their lives within an average social status. You’ll realize that money can’t make all of the people happy, of course, you’ll need money for your basic needs, but it all ends on that. You will not have to need more money to just watch them pile up inside your vault or just burn them by buying the things you want, and the other sides of life go on. Traveling Affects Millennial Minds

How Traveling Affects Millennials’ Mind

Before traveling, you might think of exciting souvenirs, delicacies, and the tourist attraction you are heading to, (and take pictures to post it on social media), but have millennials thought of the excitement to learn new things and meet new people?
Millennials tend to visit places to meet people and make friends with other tourists, and just get along with them. They often talk about how their experiences of the place and tackle about plans of returning to the place in the near future and meet again. As they part ways, they realize how friendships develop in just a short while.
How Traveling Affects Millennials' Mind - https://twobudgettravelers.com
[hoops name=”InArticle”]During their travels, whether they are alone or with their classmates, friends, and relatives, they find other places pleasant and thinking of settling down there in the future. It’s either they observed that the place was relevant to the type of the living or the plan to have a job because of the salary, or they just see their future staying in there.
Traveling also gives millennials the time to reflect themselves, “I’m graduating this year, what will I do after that?” “What am I doing with my life?” The thoughts will just flood your mind when the silence of nature starts to cover your ears. Take this opportunity to think, when your mind is far from the chaotic civilization. All of us tend to make decisions wrong when we are confused and bad decisions really make big domino effects.   Traveling Affects Millennial Minds
So, the travel was about to end, and a common millennial will surely feel devastated leaving the arms of nature or the peace he really loved because he has obligations and returns to reality. Well at least, he learned so many things, being thrifty and save money because you only had a certain amount, of how employees work hard for the tourists and give them the best services, of how people on the other places live… How they face life, a bit far from yours. You witnessed the bad reality of poverty and realized you are lucky enough to even have a dollar.
How Traveling Affects Millennials' Mind - https://twobudgettravelers.com
In that, a millennial tends to keep in mind that they have to take really good care for the future, study hard, work really hard, not just for the money, but for your passion and love of work. Or maybe you are planning to live in Amsterdam because you fell in love with the canals at night and you’d love to build a family there? Whatever that was, that a common millennial thought of, I am sure that one of your travels helped you to maintain optimism for your future. Keep exploring and learn! Traveling Affects Millennial Minds

This then needs to be ground slowly and uniformly to achieve the right consistency. The ingredients that are used in the manufacture of dark chocolates are cocoa butter and organic sugar. The use of organic ingredients makes the biggest difference to the flavor texture and consistency of chocolate. Inorganic additives and preservatives dilute the unique taste, aroma, and flavor of the chocolate. This is exactly why you will find the most reputed brands sticking to organic ingredients. In other words, the ingredients are sourced from farms that practice organic farming methods – for instance, shade-grown varieties of cocoa plants and cacao plants.

What do Certification And Standards mean To Chocolates?

The presence of labels and certification and chocolates indicate a certain standard followed by the manufacturer. Varieties of plants that are not genetically modified indicate that you are consuming a product that is manufactured from organic farming sources. A product that is labeled as FDA certified indicates that the product is safe to consume as per the stringent standards laid down by the food and drug administration. Similarly, a manufacturer who follows good manufacturing practices and who is HACCP certified is always a safe option.

Tagaytay Farmhills: One Heck of a Staycation at a Vacation House in Tagaytay!

We found another gem at AirBNB! But this time, we can call it home. Read our last AirBNB staycation at Kapusod – Taal.
We found a vacation house located in Tagaytay which looked like a castle at first glance, well originally it was meant to be turreted like a castle. I immediately looked at the reviews and read some of them. There were not too testimonies many but my instincts told me to book for that place. The photos here will tell you how much we were in awe when we got there. 🙂

The Space of the Vacation House

[hoops name=”InArticle”]
I’m gonna describe it the best way possible. Upon entry from the main gate, you would notice that it’s like a resort with a pool for the kids and the adults. The entryway to the house was surrounded by green leaves with a few flowers not yet blooming, and a few plants with hanging stems.
Upon entering the home itself, you’d immediately notice how big the location was. I requested for a room with a bath tub, it was a part of my dream. The room was located on the ground floor so the access to everything was easy. Standard rooms don’t have bath tubs, just so you know. The ground floor also has a play area or entertainment area. A place where you could play billiards or sing your hearts out using the karaoke. If you book a room, karaoke use is free and unlimited. No additional payment! How good is that?

The second floor comprises of the living area, the kitchen, the bar, the dining area, the standard rooms and also, this is the location where the wifi is most reliable. The vacation house is using a Globe wireless internet connection so don’t expect enormous speeds, but better than nothing at all.
The upper floor is the location of the master’s bedroom, a very big one! I actually wished that we took the master’s bedroom but it’s an additional 1000 pesos ($20). It has the pleasant view of the pineapple fields that surround the property. The room we requested and the master’s bedroom are the only rooms that have their own bathtub. All the bed sizes in the bedrooms are queen size but the master’s bedroom has the only king-sized mattress.
Everything was pleasant and perfect and a little overwhelming considering that I grew up in a simple home. You’d simply wish that you own a home similar to this property.

The Location [hoops name=”InArticle”]

The vacation house is located in Tagaytay Farmhills, a gated estate located in Brgy. Ulat, Silang, Cavite, one ride away to Tagaytay proper. It’s a quiet gated community with no immediate neighbours. All Tagaytay and its amenities are a short drive away. Jeepneys and other public transportations are available after 5-10 minutes walk from the estate to the main road. So, if you’re going to this place, you must BRING OR BUY YOUR OWN FOOD.

How to get to this property by commute?

Coming from Manila, ride a bus that stops at Olivarez Plaza, Tagaytay. (I don’t know how much, we came from Robinson’s Dasmariñas).
Cost: From Robinson’s Dasma: 33 each / From Manila: (??)
From Olivarez Plaza, hire a tricycle and tell the driver to drive you off at Tagaytay Farmhills in Brgy. Ulat.
Cost: 80 pesos one-way.
Note that not all of the tricycle drivers knew about the place so you have to guide them as well to get to the house. Please use GOOGLE MAPS for that (just like I did).
By car, once you’re in Olivarez, please just use WAZE or GOOGLE MAPS and navigate to the property.

Amenities when you book this property

• Swimming pool
• You can play billiards anytime
• WiFi
• Hot & Cold Shower
• Air-conditioning
• You can use the karaoke anytime (curfew not applicable because no one will hear your singing)
• Use of refrigerator
• Use of gas stove and other appliances by request (we used the oven as well for our cooking, see photo)
• Use of cooking utensils (use them but wash them)

TAKE NOTE:

♥ I recommend this property as this is a real value for money. You get more what you paid for. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was memorable!
♥ Tita Alia and Kuya Jess, the residential managers, are very pleasing, cheerful, friendly, and approachable.
♥ This property doesn’t have Taal view but is close to parks and attractions.
♥ When we booked, only a room was assigned to us, but since we are the only ones booked for 3D2N, it’s like we owned the entire home for the duration!
♥ Hot and Cold shower is a plus.
♥ YOU MUST bring your own food or cook your own food. A mineral water container is available for purchase for only 30 pesos.
♥ The kitchen was well-equipped. You don’t have to worry about the utensils. My girlfriend cooked for us and I loved it!
♥ For me, the place was perfect and I’m glad my instincts had not failed me yet.

5 Palawan Experiences that All Foreign Travelers can Relate

A foreign traveler bound for the Philippines for the first time will likely go to the white sands beaches of Boracay or the entertainment hubs in Metro Manila. These are the more popular destinations commonly featured in travel shows. You should know that the Philippines is made up of 7,000+ islands across 18 regions. Each region is a melting pot of cultures influenced by former colonizers and existing tribal groups.
If you travel to the Cordilleran region in Luzon island, you may be surprised to meet natives speaking in American English infused with words in the local language. Experiencing Philippine culture is like trying out a variety of flavors at the same time. It can be wonderfully surprising.
For your maiden trip to the Philippines, visit the enchanting island of Palawan where one of the seven wonders of the world is located, the Puerto Princesa Underground River. This long and narrow island is considered the largest in the country. The Palawan province, which is composed of Palawan island and roughly 1,780 smaller islands and islets, is part of the Southwestern Tagalog Region or MIMAROPA.
[hoops name=”InArticle”]
If you look at a Philippine map, Palawan seems to be closer to the Muslim regions in Mindanao. But its culture shares more similarities with the northern islands. For instance, Palawan locals generally speak in Tagalog, the language widely spoken in Luzon. There are also more Catholics on the island than Muslims.
As a foreigner, there are a few things you should include in your travel guide when traveling to Palawan. Here’s a quick list of experiences to look forward to. Palawan experience

A rustic destination for laid-back travelers

In 2017, readers of Travel + Leisure voted Palawan as the World’s Best Island, beating South Carolina’s Hilton Head Island, Boracay, and Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands. “There’s nothing quite like immersing yourself in the natural wonders of this Philippine archipelago, which many of our readers described as ‘rustic,’ ‘romantic,’ ‘affordable’ and ‘relaxing.’ As one fan succinctly wrote, ‘it’s the single most beautiful place on earth,’” according to an article by Travel + Leisure’s Rebecca Ascher-Walsh. Palawan experience
Palawan has a unique charm that sets it apart from other beach destinations in the world. It’s not as developed as Boracay and far more affordable than Santorini and Maui. It is “rustic,” as Travel + Leisure reader put it. There are a few posh hotels but a lot more hostels and lodges. You can stay in a hostel for Php500 (US$10) per night inclusive of breakfast. Palawan is a laid-back traveler’s paradise.

Palawan: an exploration of natural spots

Palawan Experiences that All Foreign Travelers can Relate - https://twobudgettravelers.com

If you’re looking for wild parties or high-end shopping, Palawan may not be the place for you. There are bars and restaurants, but not as many as in other tourist destinations in the country. Palawan is more for explorations of natural spots such as the El Nido Marine Reserve Park, Coron Reefs, and Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s also home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park and the Tubbataha Reef Marine Parkpalawan experience
You can start your adventures early in the morning with a tour to the Underground River, the longest in the world, a picnic on the beach at lunchtime, an afternoon dip in the Big Lagoon, and firefly watching in the evening. You will hear the sounds of nature around you as you prepare to sleep at night.

Get your essentials in the capital before hopping on the boat

Palawan Experiences that All Foreign Travelers can Relate - https://twobudgettravelers.com

[hoops name=”InArticle”]

Palawan may not be as bustling as other provinces in the Philippines, but it can cover your essential needs. Puerto Princesa is the capital and largest city in the province. It’s your gateway to the thousands of islands and islets in the province. It’s the seat of public administration and the center of trade and commerce.
After you arrive at the Puerto Princesa International Airport, you will find banks, ATM machines, and foreign exchange shops. There are also remittance centers such as Palawan Express. Many tourists withdraw sufficient cash while in the capital because ATM machines are scarce in other parts of the province. It’s also advisable to check with your hotel or lodge whether they accept credit cards. Hopping to a boat back to Puerto Princesa to withdraw cash is no fun. Palawan experience
Many islands in Palawan province are barely inhabited. While in the capital, buy snacks for your island hopping adventures. Some of the essentials you should include in your shopping list are bottled water, crackers, chocolates or sweets, sunblock lotion, mosquito prevention kit, and other toiletries. Buying these in the mall than in your hotel can save you money.

Rice lovers everywhere

Palawan Experiences that All Foreign Travelers can Relate - https://twobudgettravelers.com

[hoops name=”InArticle”]

Palawan is a popular destination not only for foreigners but also for Filipino travelers. You will meet solo backpackers, family vacationers, and groups of traveling friends. Filipinos are known to be among the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. If you need help with directions or with anything, don’t hesitate to approach them for assistance. Palawan experience
Filipinos love eating, and sharing meals with others is a common practice. You may be invited to lunches or dinners. For a Filipino, a meal is incomplete without white rice. Rice is served at breakfast, lunch, and dinner with meat and vegetable dishes. Hotels and inns usually serve foreign guests with bread, omelet and fruits for breakfast or the Continental Breakfast, but if you’re eating in a Filipino house, expect the king of the dining table: white rice.

Environmental rules are strictly enforced

Palawan Experiences that All Foreign Travelers can Relate - https://twobudgettravelers.com
Photo courtesy of Flickr via Creative Commons

All visitors in Palawan are expected to observe rules and regulations. The local government strictly imposes laws on environmental preservation. There are areas where eating isn’t allowed. Have a heavy meal in your hotel before going over your day excursion. You can bring granola bars and bottled water, but remember to dispose of your trash properly. palawan experience
The government recently signed a law against smoking in public places. Ask for the designated smoking areas before lighting up to avoid unnecessary problems with authorities. Moreover, throwing cigarette butts near the beach is prohibited as these can harm marine life.
Wherever your wandering feet may take you, always keep an open mind to the diversity around you. Traveling can be a life-changing experience if you make it so. As Anthony Bourdain once said: “As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life—and travel—leaves marks on you.” Palawan experience

Traveling to China | The E-Commerce Capital of the World

China is the most populous country in the world located in East Asia. Approximately, 1,4 billion people live within the territory of that sovereign state. The communist party holds key political positions in the government institutions and the country has no official religion.
China is a place with rapid economic growth. The country lagged behind the developed nations when it comes to industry progress, however, the situation has been quickly changing in the recent decades.
Many firms, companies, corporations, big brands, and factories have their headquarters in China. They produce all sorts of goods there and then distribute the products all over the world.

Popular Destination

China is also very popular when it comes to jobs and tourism. There are many interesting places in different corners of the country and these attract the attention of a large number of potential tourists. The Chinese tourist industry has also progressively grown with other industries, and many firms from that category are now present in the country’s market.

Various Possibilities

These include various hotels, clubs, restaurants, pubs, bars, and other businesses that serve foreign visitors. These are typically great when it comes to enjoyment or tasting traditional Chinese cuisine. You can find many unique sorts of food made of quite interesting ingredients. It is pretty different from the cuisine of Western countries so it is a little positive cultural shock you should not miss while in China.

Pubs, bars, and clubs are excellent when you want to explore the nightlife in the country. Many cities are very large and populous so they indeed have a lot to offer regarding this aspect of the tourism industry. It is particularly interesting for young tourists, and they indeed have numerous nightlife options in China. These include all sorts of parties and shows with different sorts of music that last until the morning hours. It is definitely nice to explore such opportunities, however, it is just the beginning of the Chinese tourist offer.
There are many localities, places, and destinations in the country that provide an exceptional experience to the visitors. Some of those have a great historical value, and you cannot see anything similar anywhere else in the world.

The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is probably the best-known attraction of that type in China. It is the largest human-made structure in the entire world, and it is even possible to see it from space. It stretches over the hills and mountains across the Chinese territory for 21, 196 kilometers. The height of the wall is average 6 to 7 meters with some distinctions at particular parts. The wall is extremely old. It was built 2,700 years ago, and over 100,000 workers were working on the project.
Despite the long life, the structure is still in good shape, and it is possible to use it for walking. Some enthusiasts had even managed to cross it from the beginning to the end. However, it was definitely a time-consuming activity, and they needed weeks in order to achieve the goal. Visiting the Great Wall of China is indeed a remarkable experience because there is nothing similar at any other location in the world. That’s why it is a top travel destination in the country with millions of visits per year.

Other Amazing Tourist Attractions and Locations

Despite the greatness of this attraction, China has much more to offer. The Forbidden City and Imperial Palace, Terracotta Army, the Bund in Shanghai, the Mogao Caves, and the Potala Palace in Tibet are some of these. Each of the locations is unique in its own way. Interesting stories are behind them, and the buildings are developed by following the rules of traditional Chinese architecture.
It is hard to explain the experience in words, and the best you can do is to come to China and explore the destination in person. Foreign travelers typically need a tourist visa for the purpose (and travel wifi), but it is usually easy to obtain one of such documents. You just have to visit the nearest embassy or consulate in your country to start the procedure. It is typically necessary to meet a few requirements, fill appropriate forms, and provide your passport together with two photos of yourself. Those are some basic things all should be able to perform, and you will receive your visa for China soon.

Make friends on the road

While the serenity of solo travel may be ideal at first, the importance of connecting with people can’t be understated. The easiest way to meet people is by staying at a hostel because they tend to attract sociable people who are looking to make friends. There are also plenty of group tours to keep you busy, which can allow you to feel like you’re a part of a community, and shared experiences are always a great way to strike up a conversation.
When you are doing the same activity, you likely have common interests, so it’s easier to come up with things to talk about. One of the best parts of traveling is the people you meet, so make the most of any social opportunities.

Schedule downtime

When traveling, you’ll need some time to unwind and switch off. All that sightseeing and walking can be exhausting after a while. One of the best ways to relax on a solo trip is by going out and enjoying the local food; why not explore the nearby eateries for some specialty dishes?
Alternatively, take the time to reconnect with friends or play some games on your mobile device. Whether it’s a gambling game or a car-racer, gaming is a great way to re-focus the mind on something relaxing – and there are many companies that provide a comprehensive guide to online games. For example, sites such as Bonus Finder make it easy for players to find online slots and poker games, listing a variety of sites.
Mobile games are hugely popular and developers have worked to improve the gameplay, so you can enjoy a seamless experience on your smartphone when you want a break from seeing the sights.

Learn something new

For many, there’s always a worry about growing bored when traveling alone. This can be avoided by keeping yourself fresh and learning something new. From dance and cooking classes to joining a language course, there’s an abundance of ways to make sure you’re always learning.
When you go to classes regularly, you’ll be meeting people all the time, giving you another outlet during your travels. Also, visiting a museum or an exhibition is always a great learning experience, as you’ll be able to indulge in history and culture.
