Contributed by: Ian Tabao
Sharing our recent trip to HK and Macau!!
NOTE:
This itinerary is fast-paced with many attractions and experiences jam-packed on a relatively short stay so prepare your walking shoes
This is also not a budgetary (cheap) itinerary
Marami mang paltos, marami ring naranasan.
Where to Stay in Hong Kong / Macau
Day 0 Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
20:00 Touchdown HK
10:00 Check-in at AirBNB in Mongkok Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
*
Rode an A21 bus to Mongkok since it’s way cheaper than the airport express (33HKD vs 100+HKD)
We chose to stay in Mongkok para pagbaba lang shopping na!
TIP: Get P1,600 off on AIRBNB when you register via this link.
Day 1
9:00 Breakfast: Mcdonald’s Next (Admiralty)
10:00 Ocean Park
16:30 Early dinner at Ichiran Ramen TST
18:00 Sneaker street and Ladies market
*
we were supposed to try the customize your own burger in Mcdonald’s Next (a gourmet-ish posh branch of Mcdo) sadly they don’t serve it at breakfast time
To get here: MTR Admiralty Station exit A
*To make matters worse, ‘di masyadong enjoy ang supposed to be whole day Ocean Park trip namin dahil sarado ang mga rides due to a tropical cyclone signal 3.
*buti na lang solve na solve kami sa Ichiran Ramen at Tsim Sha Tsui (89HKD ea). Bbilang ramen lovers, eto na ang the best ramen na natikman namin
To get here: MTR Tsim Sha Tsui station Exit N then walk to Mody Rd cor Minden Ave. Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary

*
Super haba ng araw na ‘to pero maraming napuntahan!
*
Wong Tai Sin Temple opens at 6am and pwede kayo magpa-fortune telling dito (fortune tellers open at 10am though). Sulit ang pagpunta ng maaga to experience the serenity of the temple at wala pang tourists
To get here: MTR Wong Tai Sin station then exit at Exit B
*
Fairwood is a fastfood resto similar to Cafe de Coral situated sa mall katabi lang ng Wong Tai Sin Temple
*
Nan Lian and Chi Lin Nunnery is one station away from Wong Tai Sin and since it’s still early wala pa masyadong tourists. Nasaway ako while using a selfie stick so I guess bawal
*
see pictures for Montane Mansion/ Yik Cheong Building
not much to do here but take pictures. Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
To get here: MTR Tai Koo station exit B then walk west to Montane Mansion.
TIP: Do not alight at Quarry Bay station when going here, mas malayo ang lalakarin niyo.
*
Para kumpleto ang HK experience, we rode a Ding-ding or Tram to get to our next destination. Ding-ding rides cost 2.6HKD pax no matter the distance and will give you a different perspective of getting around in HK. These are only available in Hongkong island (wala sa kowloon side), just look for the tracks on the road. Alighted at Wan Chai
*
Kam’s Roast Goose is a 1-Michelin star resto serving a variety of roast meats. Store opens at 11:30 pero may pila na agad nung dumating kami ng 11:15. Since it’s relatively small, they will seat you together with other smaller groups. Good thing maganda service nila at magaling sila mag-ingles. Food is SUPERB! 72 HKD for Roast goose + choice of other meat + rice/noodle + side dish + drink. Medyo mahal pero deserving of that michelin star
*
then lakad kami to Central Plaza building . sa 46th floor nito ay isang sky deck that gives you a 360 degree view of HK island. and it’s absolutely free! plus wala pang ibang tourists. Di mo na kelangang mag Sky 100 kung alam mo ang lugar na ‘to
To get here: from MTR Wan Chai Station take the elevated walkway from Exit A and walk toward Immigration Center then to Central Plaza. At Central Plaza take the escalator to the elevator lobby and take an elevator to the 46th floor*
from Central Plaza tinuloy lang namin ang elevated walkway towards Wan Chai ferry pier and took a star ferry heading to TST. Ferry fare is 3.7HKD and this is your cheapest mode of transpo across the Victoria harbor. Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
*
At TST, picture-taking at the Clock tower and Cultural center. Since it was a tuesday, libre ang entrance fee sa lahat ng museums so plan sana mag astronomical museum located at the TST waterfront din pero bongga ang pila ng mga bata so di na kami tumuloy. punta na lang sa garden of the stars kung saan nandoon ang rebulto ni bruce lee. Maraming tourists dito
*
crossed the harbor again via MTR to get to central and naglibot-libot muna at IFC. nandito ang 3-floors na apple store. Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
went back to Central station exit K to meet-up with our Klook tour guide for the peak tram. your tourguide will accompany you from the meet-up point to the tram terminus
TIP: Book your peak tram with Klook to enjoy an express queue for the tram. otherwise magsasayang kayo ng 2 hours just to get tickets regularly. Kasama na rin sa Klook yung ticket sa Chocolate museum at Madame Tussauds
*
TIP: matuto mang-box-out sa tram para may upuan ka. and when going up, sit on the right para mas maganda view
*
amazing yung Chocolate Museum at may free taste, pero you can finish the whole exhibit in 10-15 mins. as in saglit lang siya. mas sulit kung magwoworkshop ka with them pero ibang bayad na yun
*
went to the Sky Terrace for the Symphony of Lights (every 20:00) 19:00 pa lang pumunta na para more chances of getting a good spot and view otherwise wala ka makikita lalo na kung maliit ka
TIP: Maghanap ng mga grupo ng turista na may mga kasamahang hindi willing maghintay, panigurado aalis din yan sa pwesto nila. Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
**Hindi masyadong worth it ang Symphony of Lights viewed from the Sky terrace though**
Day 3 Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
9:30 Ngong Ping cable car
10:30 Ngong Ping village
11:00 Tian-tan buddha and Po Lin Monastery
12:30 Citygate Mall
1:30 HK Disneyland
TIP: Pumunta ng maaga sa cable car. 9:30 pa lang may pila na. Book your tickets with Klook para may express ticketing counter ka.
To get here: MTR Tung Chung Station exit B
*
di na kami umakyat sa buddha because we still have Disneyland sa hapon
*
TIP: from our experience, mas sulit bumili ng shoes sa Citygate outlet mall than sa sneaker street and sure ka pa na original ang item mo.
*
HK Disneyland! kaya naman to go there ng hindi opening time as long as di ka na sasakay sa mga pambata na rides and pipila dun sa mga meet and greet. too bad dahil sa weather (again) di natuloy yung parade sa gabi.
Day 4
7:00 HK-Macau ferry terminal
7:15 Ferry to Macau
8:30 arrival at Macau outer harbor ferry terminal
9::00 Venetian Macau
10:00 Parisian
11:00 Senado Square, Ruins of St.Paul, Monte Fort
14:00 ferry back to HK
15:15 late lunch at KFC Tsuen wan and Tim Ho Wan central
17:00 pasalubong shopping (Prizemart, Bestmart 360)
*
Our day in Macau was very rainy, almost zero visibility Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
TIP: Book your ferry ticket with Klook and make sure to arrive at the terminal at least 30 mins before departure to make room for immigration procedures. your seats will be assigned there
from the ferry terminal in Macau, we rode a free casino bus to the Venetian and walked to the Parisian (connected sila) walang free shuttle going elsewhere sa Parisian though except going to the airport so we rode public bus number 26 to get to Senado square. fare is 6MOP (fixed)
TIP: Google Maps is your friend in getting around. It will suggest which bus to take and which stops to get in/out. Hong Kong and Macau Itinerary
TIP: HKD is accepted in Macau in a 1:1 conversion
Day 5
