When someone mentions anything about Spain, all I think about is football. Anyway, apart from the enthusiastic football spirit in Spain, there is a lot more to admire. Spain is a country on the Iberian Peninsula, that is made up of 17 regions with diverse geographical and cultural beauty. Spain is considered an exotic country due to the inhabitant’s friendliness, fancy lifestyle and its cuisine nightlife.
There are many places to visit in Spain but the place you wouldn’t wish to miss is the famous “Running of Bulls” at Pamplona. With the aesthetic geographical beauty, fantastic nightlife, and lively fiestas many cultural religions and historic cities, Spain is just the place to be in your next vacation.
1: Barcelona
This is the second largest city in Spain with a population of about 1.5 million. The city is located in the Northern Mediterranean coast of Spain and has a beautiful and diversified history, having been under the Romans. There is a lot to do in Barcelona including surfing and swimming in the Barcelona beach which is the best beach according to National Geographic. You also wouldn’t leave Spain without visiting the “Basilica de la Sagrada Familia” which is a very important religious landmark in Spain.

If you are an art or science lover, then Valencia is the best place to be on your next visit to Spain. Valencia also has several beaches, including some within nearby Albufera Park, a wetlands reserve with a lake and walking trails hence a good place to visit during the summer. There are also great places such as Valencia Cathedral and The Holy Grail which claims to have in procession the cup that Jesus drank from during the last supper. It is also not a bad idea if you did some open-market shopping in Valencia’s Central Market which is very unique.

Seville is the capital of southern Spain’s Andalusia region. It’s famous for flamenco dancing, particularly in its Triana neighborhood. There are a lot of places to chose from but the best shot is enormous Cathedral and soaring La Giralda tower. You should consider strolling along the Guadalquivir River or walk through the streets of Barrio Santa Cruz to discover the local flavor of Seville’s tapas bars, boutique shops, and outdoor plazas. Seville has also ranked the 9th best honeymoon places in the world, so if you are looking for the place to be on your honeymoon, then its Seville.

San Sebastián is a resort town on the Bay of Biscay, which is best known for Playa de la Concha and Playa de Ondarreta, beaches framed by a picturesque bayfront promenade, and world-renowned restaurants helmed by world’s most innovative chefs. Apart from this fabulous lifestyle, San Sebastian has got a ton of other interesting places to visit include my favorite, Victoria Eugenia Theatre, which is one of the city’s most iconic buildings. 9: Toledo
Toledo is a World Heritage Site because of its culture, history and being a place where Muslim, Jewish, and Christian faiths now co-exist so well. I mean this is a place worth visiting, religion in most countries is the main course of a war. There is a lot to do in Spain that you would almost need a year to exhaust the options. Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo (Cathedral Primada Santa María de Toledo) which is one of only three 13th century high Gothic cathedrals in Spain is a place that you will afford not to lose on your next trip to Spain. There are a lot of other cultures but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to settle for Souvenir Shopping where you will be able to sop and but the cities beautiful artifacts and paintings.

10: Santiago De Compostela
The city is considered a great religious icon due which is known as the culmination of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and the alleged burial site of the Biblical apostle St. James. There are literary more than 50 destinations to visit and you can begin with Alameda Park where you can go for a stroll along the Paseo da Ferradura, get a nice view of the Cathedral, sit by the statue of writer Valle Inclán. You could also visit ‘De Viños’, that is if you are a wine lover of course. This is a place where you could get a few drinks with friends. Many bars and restaurants along the Franco display their octopus, shellfish and other delicacies on their windows. Most of them offer free bites as a bonus after a drink.
