It’s always a great experience when we get to discover new places to stay at a cheaper price. With the rise of condominiums in the past decade, there also has been a lot of opportunities for owners to further monetize their property making their homes available for a day in and day out stay for friends or clients. Condominiums are not just a home now, but a business. Zen Rooms is one of the leading providers who made this happen.
With the expansion of technology, there’s also a rise in innovation. Hotels are not the only option when you need a place to stay in, there are also these homes that are managed and can be rented for a night. That’s when Zen Rooms comes in.
Zen Rooms is the leading provider in budget serviced apartments in South East Asia. We received an email and immediately checked the rates on their website. Surprisingly, we found many properties that we feel are great to stay in even just for a night and to experience how their service is. The property we opted to book was located at Knightsbridge Residences.

Knightsbridge Residences Staycation [Experience with Zen Rooms]

One of our goals this year is to stay in one of Makati’s condo towers, Knightsbridge Residences. We already had a dose of staycation experience in Milano Residences (thru a friend’s unit) and Gramercy Residences (check our review here). We didn’t let the opportunity pass this time to stay at Knightsbridge Residences.

Check-in Experience

Our check-in experience was smooth. After arriving at the lobby, we informed the Zen Rooms Knightsbridge Residences team that we have arrived. A few moments later, they have escorted us to our room. Our room was located on the 14th floor of the building.

They told us about the facilities, what we could do, where could we go, and what access do we have during our stay. After checking that everything’s good and the room for us was okay, I handed over the Security Deposit fee (₱2,000) which is refundable upon check-out. Once everything is done, they handed over the keys and left. That’s all of it for the check-in. It only took about 8 minutes – fast and swift.
NOTE: Remember to send a copy of your ID on an email that they will send you after booking so you won’t have issues on your access during your stay.
Upon check-out, we gave them a notice thru text that we will be checking out soon. One of their staffs went to our room, checked the place and refunded us our Security Deposit which is ₱2,000.

Staycation Experience

Knightsbridge Residences is the last of the towers I need to see before the year ends. It’s a personal goal so it has nothing to do with you. LOL. Anyway, we have access to almost every amenity there is at the building.

Similar to a hotel, Zen Rooms provides towels for their guests. I am not sure about the soap/shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste, and other basic bathroom amenities if they provide one as I have brought my own and also because I am not expecting that there’s any (given I have stayed at most serviced apartments).
There’s a provision for the hot and cold shower which is nice. A kitchen where you can cook meals of your own with basic utensils. There’s also a refrigerator, electric kettle, and microwave oven. This is what I liked about Zen Rooms, you can use the kitchen as if it is your real home, a.k.a. home away from home.
In our airconditioned room, there’s also a table and a sofa. Across the sofa is an entertainment set: television with cable channels, DVD Player, and speaker. Free WiFi is also a great addition to the service. The queen-sized bed is also comfy and clean, overlooking the outside views at the balcony.
