According to Leo of Safari Nomad

Šulić beach is one of the numerous beaches Dubrovnik (Croatia) has to offer. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, do not miss this beach. The scene of a sea battle was filmed right here.
The beach is located in a beautiful bay, below Fort Lovrijenac, just 5 minutes of famous walls surrounded the Old city of Dubrovnik. Since the beach is the hidden place to swim, there are no crowds and visited mostly by locals.  best beaches in the world
This small pebble beach, with a concrete area, is protected between high cliffs and is a perfect spot for those looking for shade. This is also a place where two bars and restaurants with stone terraces are situated. Here you can treat yourself with tasty local dishes, mainly seafood dishes and vegetable.
This spot offers to rent a kayak, explore the underwater life by snorkeling or choose a popular cliff jumping.

El Algarve is located in South Portugal. It’s just a 3-hour drive from Lisbon and 1 to 2-hour drive from Andalusia in South Spain. There’s seriously a lot to do in Algarve and visiting its amazing beaches was our favorite activity there!best beaches in the world

We loved the beaches in Algarve so much, especially those in Lagos where you can have amazing views from the cliffs and you’ll definitely fall in love with its clear blue waters too! In Lagos, we loved Ponte du Piedade. It’s just a few meters ahead Praia do Camilo where you can go down and relax or swim.

There are also small beaches where you access by crossing small caves under the big rocks so you can enjoy them for yourself a lot if you’re adventurous. Apart from this, the beautiful sunsets were to die for! Our favorite night activity in Lagos was looking for local restaurants where you can eat fresh seafood. Combine this yummy food with Portuguese wine to perfectly complete your day!

We recommend everyone to rent a car in Algarve so you can make your own itinerary and visit many of its beautiful beaches. Also, this will make you save a lot of time and effort because transportation in this area of Portugal is not that good.

23. Dimakya Island in Coron, Palawan, Philippines

According to Jing Calonge of Finding Jing

I’ve never been so blown away by any other beaches than Dimakya Island’s vivid turquoise blue water and powdery white sand beach.  Dimakya Island in Coron, Northern Palawan, is not merely sand and sea.  It’s an incredible place to spot marine life just off the beach. Whether you are snorkeling or diving, you will have a chance to meet stingray, hawksbill and green sea turtles, vibrant-colored starfishes, giant clams, small clams and schooling fish.  best beaches in the world
Aside from teeming marine wildlife, Dimakya Island is also ideal for birdwatching.  Chirping birds will be your alarm clock in the morning. Just steps away from your quiet cottage space, you can chance upon white-bellied wood swallows, black-naped orioles, sunbirds, herons and a variety of other bird species.
At sunset time, head to the island’s western beachside to watch the soft golden light as it reflects on the sea.  The most exhilarating part of sunsets in Dimakya Island is when the resident flying foxes of the island set off to look for food in other islands.  A camp of a thousand flying bats hovering in coordination over the sky during dusk may look creepy but the sight is definitely spectacular.

The beach at Alnmouth in Northumberland, England. Footsteps are imprinted on the sand.

Alnmouth Beach is lapped by the water of the North Sea in northeast England. I find it a great place to go walking, whatever the season. The sand in golden and soft and it’s rarely busy, as the nearest major centers of population are quite some distance away. Dogs are allowed onto the beach, so you’ll often see people walking their pets, and a network of grassy dunes runs along Northumberland’s coast at Alnmouth. At night the sky above the beach has little light pollution, making it a good location for a picnic and star gazing.

The beach is a lovely spot if you love time to wander and think in a history-rich environment. The nearby town of Alnwick is recognized throughout the world because its castle has been used as set for Harry Potter movies. I enjoy the walk that ends at Warkworth, about seven miles southward of Alnmouth, the medieval castle there is an evocative location to think about the conflict between England and Scotland during the Middle Ages. Kicking sand on the way there is a great feeling!

Beaches in Northern California are known to be cold and the coastline is known to be one of the prettiest in the world. The white sand beach of Carmel-by-the-Sea is my favorite because it’s a beautiful beach. But, what makes it even more special is that there is so much more to do in the area.
We go to the beach to bask in the sun, play in the water and photograph the gorgeous sunsets. Along Carmel-by-the-Sea’s main road are charming cottage style shops, art galleries, and amazing restaurants. It’s refreshing to just walk along the lovely village-like downtown, pick a bite and spend the afternoon on the beach. best beaches in the world
On a typical day trip, we also include Monterey, the top-notch Monterey Bay Aquarium or the heavenly 17-mile drive. The drive is famous because of its stunning views of the ocean, artistic trees, rocky coastline, golf courses, and tall trees on the inland side. It’s probably the most scenic 17 miles ever.
Monterey Bay Aquarium is considered one of the best in the world. It’s build adjacent to the deep canyon in the ocean which has resulted in its own unique ecosystem. There are also many beaches along Monterey, great restaurants and Dennis the Menace playground.
I wish you’ll visit and have an amazing day in Carmel Beach and surrounding areas.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the world is Kalanggaman Island.  This tiny island is in the province of Leyte, Philippines. The beach there is amazing and pristine. The sand bar at the end of the island is about the same length as the island itself. The water is a beautiful shade of blue and the perfect temperature for swimming.  Boats leave daily to Kalanggaman from Palompon in Leyte or Malapascua Island. An amazing option is to camp on the island. best beaches in the world
It is possible to rent camping equipment from Palompon. Be sure to explore the whole island. Very little tourists go to the far east of the island where the beach is deserted. Our trip to Kalanggaman was the highlight of a 7-week trip in the Philippines. Grilling food, having drinks with friends, and camping under the stars is a beautiful experience. Waking up just before sunrise was magic.

While many travelers think they need to choose between the beach in Varadero and the urban life in Havana three hours away, the truth is you can have them both. best beaches in the world

There are beaches in Havana. Just half an hour outside of Havana is Playas del Estes or the East Beaches, which is a 15 mile stretch of several beaches. They all have the gorgeous turquoise blue waters and white sands and yet they each have their own personality.

For those looking for a party, Santa Marta beach attracts beachgoers with loud music, bottles of rum, and food stalls. You can rent a beach umbrella and lounge chair for $2 each for the day. It’s also home to the largest hotels in the area. For underwater fans, there is a coral reef at Bacuranao beach perfect for snorkeling. For a quiet scene, Boca Ciega beach is great for families, to let children wander around. It’s not as crowded and there’s much more privacy for couples.

And the best part is that the hop on hop off bus leaves Parque Central in Old Havana every half hour and is only $5.

28. Omadhoo Island, Maldives

According to Lisa of TheHotFlashPacker
best-beaches-in-the-world-according-to-travel-bloggers-page-3
The best beaches I’ve ever seen were in the Maldives.  While in the Maldives, I stayed in guesthouses on inhabited islands and had a chance to visit several private islands – from an island completely owned by a hotel conglomerate, to completely deserted islands with one or a few palm trees.  While the hotel island had lots of amenities including overwater bungalows, a swimming pool, and a bar serving alcohol (the local islands are dry), the deserted islands were my favorite.  best beaches in the world
Imagine being taken by boat to your own island with nothing more than a sun umbrella and a cooler with sandwiches, cookies, and water.  Each island had perfect, soft, white sand.   These tiny islands were completely surrounded by a healthy coral reef complete with colorful fishes, turtles, and manta rays.  The water temperature was absolutely perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Each day was capped off by a beautiful sunset – the Maldives have some of the best sunsets.

29. ASSOS BEACH IN KEFALONIA, GREECE

According to Vanessa Hunt of Wanderlust Crew

Assos Beach, located on a peninsula on the Ionian island of Kefalonia, is my favorite beach in the world! Even the drive to this beach is worth the visit, with stunning views of gorgeous turquoise waters, an ancient castle, and idyllic houses scattered along the shoreline greeting you as you drive down the winding pathway to Assos.

Once you arrive at Assos beach you can enjoy basking in the hot Grecian sun while lying on a pristine pebble beach. Since it is situated on a small bay, Assos enjoys calm, shallow waters with small waves, making perfect for families with young children. The bay is a perfect blue and the temperature is amazing! Take advantage of the two seaside cafes behind you where you can order gelato, pizza, salads, and parfaits to your heart’s delight. best beaches in the world

If you’re up for a good uphill hike, you can walk up to Assos Castle, which has an incredible history and impressive views. You can also hike up the pathway on the opposite side of the castle to enjoy more views. The town of Assos is dotted with old colorful houses that make for beautiful photographic backdrops.

The Algarve region in Portugal is famous for its white sandy beaches and unique rock formations. One of the biggest cities in the region is Lagos and it’s an absolute must for any beach lover.  The most well-known beach in Lagos is Praia do Camilo and it’s located close to the city center, under the stunning red cliffs. There are lots of stairs to get down to the beach so this wouldn’t be the best bet if you have any mobility issues. Once you get down to the beach, there are so many things to explore! You can swim out and explore the rock formations, or even try cliff jumping if you’re brave enough. Check out Bucket Half Full for more inspiration for your next trip to Portugal.
